I always went by the "half my age plus seven" formula when it comes to age ranges... mostly. Or at least when it comes to actual serious relationship prospects and not just having a good time. At the end of the day, I find it hard to truly connect and relate with anyone too much younger than that on an intellectual level. Perhaps that will change as I continue to work on my own relevance, etc., in my status as a newly single 46-year-old, or maybe it's just a personal preference, but I do find a certain level of immaturity and inexperience to be a turn off at any age.
