@Kimberley Pederson things that often feel stupid or silly to us, only feel this way because they hit deeper with us effect us deeper meaning there's a deeper association behind the feeling we associate with this task. For you, this email is such a big task because you as a person have already felt attacked by the respondant once already, therefore, it's a coping mechanism not to send or stir the pot again because you're afraid of the reprocussions that your brain has already decided is going to be a pending attack and full force attack once it is sent and received. There is nothing wrong with you having all the emotions you do surrounding this email, they are all very valid reasons, we just have to sit with them sometimes and get to the root of the problem to understand why. My loop was my crocheting, I often have multiple unfinished crochet projects, you know what? because I associate finishing these projects with being bored and thus no longer useful, in turn meaning I'm no longer necessary...does that make sense? so I associate finishing these projects with being abandoned, that once I'm done with them, whoever I'm making the project for, even myself, they're no longer going to need me...do you realize how silly that sounds to me? silly and unreasonable, but very very true in my brain...the brain is a very mysterious and wonderful thing. don't you think?
