Thought I’d share some pics of my garden and the polytunnel as things start to bloom and grow in Scotland, the potatoes and onions are really coming along and the flowers seem to be very vivid this year i don’t remember the colours being quite so vibrant last year

That is awesome! Looks like a heavenly place to hang out.
Here’s what I’m working on…
The 2 beds I have planted (all from seeds) are looking good so far. The first bed has tomatoes & marigolds. The second is an assortment of flowers- zinnia's, snapdragons, hollyhocks. In the grow tent I have 3 trays. 1: cucumbers, peppers, squash, basil, and cucamelons (can’t wait to listen to the recent Q & A replay!). I think I may finally be getting a squash to germinate! If not, I’ll try direct sow. Question: I’ve since heard cucumbers don’t like to be transplanted due to fragile roots. What a bummer since they look so healthy! I’m still going to try. If I fail, I’ll try direct sow. Are there any tips for transplanting them? 2: Zinnias & Dahlias. What I’ve learned is it matters where you get your seeds from! All of the ones that didn’t germinate (except 2) are from the same seller on Etsy. The one row that did germinate is from a different seller on Etsy. 3: Switchgrass. I dunno what I’m doing with that many, but they are cheap & easy to grow from seeds. Maybe I’ll try and sell them when they are more mature? It’s been a huge learning process and I think an overall success. I have Megan to thank for it! Also thanks to our community for all of the great questions, it’s all helped me learn! 🌱💐🌾

And the zinneas, snapdragons & hollyhocks. I have a zinnia trying to bloom! How exciting!

The third bed is coming along wonderfully! The cucumbers (back left) seem to have transplanted successfully, as well as the peppers (front), and cucamelons (left). I have 4 squash coming up that I direct sowed a week ago (right). I planted marigolds in the middle .
🤚 Raise your hand if you have (or want) a Skool community
If you run your own Skool community, OR have thought about starting one... Would a mini course with all my favorite tools, tips, and resources for running a Skool community be helpful to you? I've received some questions lately about how I run things behind the scenes here, and I spend a LOT of time figuring out what works (and what doesn't). But before I build anything out, I'd like to see if it's actually of interest. 🩷

@Candy Walsh don’t feel bad, I’m right there with you! It’s nice to have a place to come when the time fits, though.

I’d love to know more, if I ever wanted to start a community, but right now I’m with Candy…I don’t have the time presently to take on anything more.
Transition seedlings outdoors
Kind of two questions and i never thought/seen anything about it before but when transitioning seedlings outside from only inside, is it okay to break up the time - an hour in the morning-rest in the late afternoon evening? I will be at work and can only manage an hour, maybe hour and a half in the mornings until the weekends, so I can’t control the add an hour each day situation unless it’s evenings. Also, will they be okay out in the rain even if i just watered them recently or should they be kept inside? I just watered last night but tmrw is calling for rain as well as through next week 😅 so they’ll be pretty wet . I put the brassicas out this morning for their hour before i leave for work and will put them back under the grow lights with the fan. Any suggestions or experiences would be appreciated. I don’t want to kill them 😭

I have a similar issue with my schedule. I leave at 5:00am (dark) and get home at 6:30pm. On those days, I leave the seedlings inside in front of a window. It has worked so far. Best of luck! This part is nerve racking for me. The anxiety is real! 🌱
Mushrooms
Has anyone tried growing any kind of mushrooms due to the rise in produce.

I also want to grow mushrooms. There’s a class available at a farm near me that teaches growing them on fallen logs. It’s on my list of “want to do”.
