💊 Recreational Drugs Are They Really Worth It? 🤔
Ok, here is a heavy hitting topic of conversation but one that needs to be had! Recreational drugs like cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamines overstimulate the brain and disrupt the nervous system, two things burnout and anxiety can’t afford. Healing and drugs DO NOT MIX! What feels fun in the moment often triggers days and weeks of anxiety, depletion, and emotional instability afterward.Your recovery is too important to compromise! In my personal opinion and having been there and done that, steer clear of drugs at all costs your mind and body will thank you for it 🙏🏼 I would love to hear about your experiences and your thoughts on this controversial topic

I would like to say that these 3 drugs are very different "cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamines" . I personally would not put meth in the "Recreational" category. I agree that math and coke can give you a temporary boost and feel great, but long term they will destroy your body, your life, and can destroy your success. Weed/THC can have healing properties and is legal in many places here in the USA. I would say that alcohol is worse then weed. I do live in a state where weed is legal and while I am not an ever day user, I am a weekend user when I have determined that I am done working for the day. I prefer this to a few beers because i dont feel like garbage the next day, and the worst thing that happens is I get tired and pass out. I dont let it control me.
📲 Tech Notifications The Silent Alarm 🚨
Every notification in your life is a tiny stress trigger. Your nervous system doesn’t know the difference between danger and a ping. We need to start turning off what doesn’t serve us. For years I have had my phone on silent and no vibration because i knew it wasn't serving my anxiety. I took control of my notifications years ago, especially my work emails, these can really drain the mental battery and keep you on edge! Which tech notifications do you need to control because they aren't serving your mental wellbeing?

I turn most notifications off on my phone. Especially when I am in deep work. Airplane mode is great when I am sleeping or don't want to be bothered at all. My family time is more important than someone asking for a TPS report!

@Mark Ipaviz I just wake up every morning hoping it didn't fly away!!
📲 Social Media The Silent Addiction 📲
Constant scrolling keeps your mind in comparison, noise, and overstimulation mode. This fuels anxiety and reduces your ability to regulate stress. It's important to have awareness when you have been scrolling for too long. You have to give your brain space to breathe, it is always on! I would love to hear about your relationship with social media, are you in control of it or is it in control of you?

I am on FB a little, but not much. I am on Skool probably to much!
🥗 Nutrition Is A Secret Weapon Against Burnout & Anxiety 🥩
What you eat directly affects how you think, feel, and recover. Processed foods and high-sugar snacks spike your blood sugar, crash your energy, and intensify anxiety. One of the best ways to avoid this? Prep your food for the day. When you bring nutritious, whole foods with you, you’re not at the mercy of convenience or fast-food cravings. You stay fuelled, steady, and clear-headed. Small upgrades in your nutrition and a little prep lead to massive upgrades in how you feel. Hands up who struggles with food prep but knows they should find the time to do it more often? 🙋🏾‍♀️

With 3 young kids prepping food is almost impossible. I fast 2 days a week and keep a really close eye on my added sugar intake and dont eat like garbage, and I lost 30 pounds in 2.5 years that way. I feel great!

@Mark Ipaviz I would say fasting is 99% mental and 1% physical. Make the decision beforehand decide that you're going to fast for a certain period of time or a certain time of the day. And that's it. With fasting is great because there's no gray area there is no " Just one little bite". Either you do it or you don't. For my annual goal 3 years ago I decided to fast for the whole year. Then after that it was easy. Do I get hungry sometimes sure but again it's all mental. If anyone wants to chat about specific fasting things happy to do that with anybody here
🙋🏻‍♂️ Calling All Community Members 🙋🏾‍♀️
Hey gang! My plan is to bring some high level and hand selected health professionals into this community to support. At this stage I am looking at a strength and conditioning coach, a breathwork and meditation instructor, a naturopath and a nutritionist. Who would you like to see as the first hire? Like this post if you think this is a good idea and share your thoughts on who you would like to have access to 😁
