Knee pain hacks
My doctor says if I lose 50 lbs, it would greatly reduce pressure I put on my knees. As for now, I wear patella braces when I play. Then ice helps after playing. Tumeric, black pepper, cinnamon , and honey in my coffee for inflammation helps out in the morning. Throughout the day Vicks vaporub does the trick. What other homemade remedies or hacks do you use?

Boomstik
After 7 months playing with the Selkirk Boomstik, I finally figured it out. Then the buttcap broke. But it has a lifetime warranty. Took only 3 days for Selkirk to replace it. And for $333, I think it’s worth every penny. Since I am a veteran , I paid $284. You need to be a member of GovX.com to get the discount. It has so much pop. This is where you have to have control. Hitting at 70% power is sufficient. More will result in hitting home runs over the fence or walls. I’m a banger so it took a while getting used to. Crazy backspin when you’re at the kitchen and your opponent is on the baseline. Grit is great, which gives insane topspin. Loose grip is one of the keys. Hope it will hold up until end of August when the true test begins. Highly recommend, especially if you are a lefty and looking for a new paddle. Hope this helps anyone. Note: Selkirk is not paying me to endorse their paddle. (I wish they were though). This post is strictly 100% my own personal opinion.

@John Marchese I actually got the RPM for Christmas. But I’ll wait until my Selkirk wears down. I’ll see RPM as backup. Haven’t tested it yet. But heard rave reviews. Insane spin which I like

@Ben Schleich it’s not for everyone. I would also like to test out the Agassi because it was made for former tennis players like myself. And the Tesla. But I’m not paying $350 for a paddle until 2030.
21 Days…
Today marked 21 Days my son and I have played in a row… I need to start integrating lifting prob lol but... Pickleball is way more fun! haha Anyone else have an issue adding in actual gym time because they like to play PB more!?? Lol

@Theresa Walstra I get a better workout playing pickleball than lifting weights. But I when I do work out (rarely) I prefer using body weight training. Pushups instead of bench press, body squats vs weight squats, etc.
Weigh in results!
Curious if anyone knows when we’ll get access to the leaderboard or weigh-in results? I feel like I did alright, but percentage-wise I’m not expecting anything crazy. I’ve actually been losing pretty consistently even before the Lefty Reset, so I didn’t have that big initial water drop this time. More just interested to see where I stack up and how everyone else is doing 👀

Was wondering the same thing. But it would be cool if they didn’t post anything until the last day. That would make us more focused. If people have drastically lost a ton of weight, others that don’t think they can catch them would just drop out. I’ll just keep on grinding and not worry about no one except myself. Just hoping no one is cheating and got liposuction or is taking Performing Enhancing Drugs.

@Brian Hartney my wife birthday, our anniversary, dad’s birthday, friends wedding, and gender reveal party is coming up all within 4 weeks. All is a big deal and will have tons of food. So I may be out of the running lol. All good. About the journey, not the results
