@Martyn Lee stand your ground, one attempted meter reading is not, by any stretch of the imagination, a serious or persistent attempt, to get a meter reading. They send estimated bills in any case. Have you got a 'smart' meter? Raise a complaint anyway which will stop their debt collection process in the meantime and have you sent any SARs yet?
