Did you get that SAR from the bot? Not sure that DOA is relevant when asking for your info from these bottom feeders. They haven't 'bought' your debt, they're just trying their luck on behalf of Octoplasm.

@Martyn Lee stand your ground, one attempted meter reading is not, by any stretch of the imagination, a serious or persistent attempt, to get a meter reading. They send estimated bills in any case. Have you got a 'smart' meter? Raise a complaint anyway which will stop their debt collection process in the meantime and have you sent any SARs yet?

@Jacqueline Howsen Jacobs can act as Bailiffs and DCA's but it really depends what bit of paper they're referring to? Did they actually have a signed warrant or were they just huffing and puffing and trying to scare your friend? Has your friend actually had any paperwork sent to them about it?
