How to find your first clients
I wanted to share some thoughts on finding and closing clients, especially if you're just starting out. One of the best strategies I've found is to leverage niche communities, particularly on platforms like Discord and Slack. Here's how you can do it: 1. Join Niche Communities: Look for communities centered around specific technologies like Webflow, Wized, or Xano. These are places where people are actively building and helping each other. 2. Be Active: Participate in discussions, help others, and make yourself known. Being active can make your conversations warm since people will already recognize you. 3. Utilize Job Boards: Many of these communities have job boards. Post on them, respond to them, and engage with potential clients. The projects listed are usually well-scoped, meaning the clients know what they want, making it easier for you to close deals. 4. Build Relationships: This is how you meet people and build things for them. The connections you make in these communities will lead to your first clients and even bigger opportunities down the line. 5. Avoid Cold Messaging: This method is more effective than cold messaging on LinkedIn. For every message I send in a community, I almost always get a response. I can hardly say the same for LinkedIn. I use this strategy myself, and itโ€™s something I recommend to others. Even this community weโ€™re in right now is a great example. We have group calls, and sometimes people need things built. This type of organic outreach works, and I've seen it benefit many who attend our community calls.

Great advice! I'm just starting out and it's kinda crazy that clients are finding me right now but may not always be the case.
Snappy is now free!
If you are at Level 2 or higher, you can now get Snappy from the classroom of this community! Right now, I have only basic instructions on how to set up each component (Webflow, Wized, and Xano), but I am working on videos which cover every part so that I only have to explain things once going forward! If you would like to support me, then please use Snappy, post your questions about it, and tell others you know about this offer and community! Join our office hours, and learn more about how low-code can streamline development and open doors for you! Snappy Classroom
