🌿 Day 9 – Try Speaking Slower
Quick question… Have you ever recorded a video or started explaining something and suddenly you’re talking really fast? Like your brain is saying: “Just get it out.” “Don’t mess it up.” “Hurry before you lose your train of thought.” That’s actually a nervous system response. When your body feels pressure or stress, it speeds things up. Your breathing gets quicker. Your thoughts race. Your words come out faster. But calm communication feels clearer and more confident. And sometimes the simplest shift is just slowing down. Not forcing it. Just giving your body a little more space. ✅ Today’s Practice At some point today, try this: When you’re talking in a video, voice message, live, or even a conversation… Slow your pace down by about 10%. Pause between sentences. Take a breath before your next thought. Notice how it feels. Most people realize they sound more confident and grounded when they slow down. 💬 Participation Comment STEADY once you’ve practiced slowing down today. 🌿 Day 2 – Breathe Before You React
Yesterday was awareness... Today we regulate. Most of us try to change our thoughts first. But your nervous system doesn’t speak “mindset." It speaks breath... When you slow your breathing, you tell your body: “I am safe.” "I can handle this." "There is nothing to be afraid of here". And a regulated body creates clearer thoughts. ✅ Today’s 3‑Minute Reset: Try Box Breathing: 1️⃣ Inhale for 4 seconds 2️⃣ Hold for 4 seconds 3️⃣ Exhale for 4 seconds 4️⃣ Hold for 4 seconds Repeat for 3 minutes or until the feeling of anxiety softens. That’s it. Do this: • Before posting • Before recording • Before responding to a comment • Anytime you feel pressure rise Notice what shifts. Did your shoulders drop? Did your mind slow down? This month isn’t about pushing harder. It's about creating safety while being seen. ✅ Today’s 5‑Minute Practice: Ask yourself: When do I notice my nervous system react around showing up online? Aware, when I go to hit record. What I have started doing is close my eyes take a breath breathe and tell my self I give you permission, clarity to create this post and as I open my eyes I hit record.
