🌿 Day 9 – Try Speaking Slower
Quick question…
Have you ever recorded a video or started explaining something and suddenly you’re talking really fast?
Like your brain is saying:
“Just get it out.”
“Don’t mess it up.”
“Hurry before you lose your train of thought.”
That’s actually a nervous system response.
When your body feels pressure or stress, it speeds things up.
Your breathing gets quicker.
Your thoughts race.
Your words come out faster.
But calm communication feels clearer and more confident.
And sometimes the simplest shift is just slowing down.
Not forcing it.
Just giving your body a little more space.
✅ Today’s Practice
At some point today, try this:
When you’re talking in a video, voice message, live, or even a conversation…
Slow your pace down by about 10%.
Pause between sentences.
Take a breath before your next thought.
Notice how it feels.
Most people realize they sound more confident and grounded when they slow down.
