Agenda Builder Tool
I want to build a tool that would allow my team to build and print/export agendas for varying sizes of engagements (1-10 staff over 1-5 days, varied start/end dates for staff potentially). I don't need it to store any engagement data, just export and print the agendas once done. We have some core agenda items that are typically used, but then it should be customized based on need. Has anyone stumbled across anything like this? I'm very much learning still. I feel like this could be accomplished..just not sure where to start!
My Why... (your interest in other types of content?)
I cannot assume anything. I may think you guys may want to know how to use AI tools as much as knowing how to build apps with Power Apps. But I could be very wrong. The last thing I want to do is splinter my intended audience based on produced content. I don't do whatever I want. This is all about you guys and what you want. I'm here to share and serve. My focus is you. More important than what I do is **WHY** I do it. I just revealed that firstly, it is for you! But take a look at our vision statement, mission statement, and our core values below. ========================================= 🤔 TOPICS YOU MAY WANT TO HEAR ABOUT ========================================= - How to leverage AI tools and automations (generally speaking like Perplexity, Manus, OpenAI, Claude, or why not Copilot Studio?) - How VS Code can really help you code with Power Fx (and YAML - what you can paste to create screens and controls) - How to use Git and/or GitHub, for many reasons, but this is an extremely form of a portfolio. Your #1 asset in your career is your reputation. Your #2 asset is your portfolio (finding jobs or freelance gigs). - Using other database systems like PostgresQL, NoCoDb (one of my favorites), NoSQL, JSON - n8n (https://n8n.io/) - like Power Automate, but on a mind-blowing level - AppSmith (https://youtu.be/NnaJdA1A11s) - build apps quickly ========================================= 📢 OUR VISION STATEMENT ========================================= - To build a global community of “office superheroes” who use low-code/no-code tools and intelligent systems (AI tools and automations) to lead innovation, elevate their careers, and transform the way work gets done. ========================================= 📢 OUR MISSION STATEMENT ========================================= - To empower screen-based problem solvers to develop their “super powers” and technical prowess through teaching, training, and mentorship—equipping them to wield intelligent design and technology at a superhero level.

@Yusif Lee I am so amazed at people who are continuing to "refuse" to use AI in any capacities - yet are surprised to see a shift in the job and hiring market directly related to the integration of AI/LLMs into workflows. I have a strong interest in helping people (especially those in my age demographic!) learn and adapt.

I would be interested in more work and demonstrations of the use of Microsoft Copilot Agents - how to build and deploy a successful agent (especially for those in the non-technical space). I've been very disappointed at the marketing approach of Microsoft - they make it seem like an "easy" and "out-of-the-box" product, when it really is anything but that. I think that level of misunderstanding (and misuse) is only damaging more widespread adoption of the technologies.
Drag & Drop Tasks
I’ve done a lot of research over the last 9-10 months on solutions to queries I have in Power Apps. Some of which were probably too advanced for my skills at the time. Nevertheless, I followed guidance on YouTube and eventually modified what I saw to work to my needs. I probably didn’t understand why it was working but I made it work. I then came across @Darren Neese and the Learn Power Apps community. There is so much useful information and guidance offered that I recently purchased the PPC course to advance my knowledge. That brings me back to why I’m posting. One thing I would like to see on the channel is a solution to dynamically drag and drop for tasks. i.e. having a list of tasks/jobs that I can drag and assign to a user/time slot just like scheduling our production or maintenance jobs. I found a really good solution by Scott Durow where he provided a component which allowed me do it (link below). https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhgOm-Jpmt82JvLdJFx3Zqo89h_deWJQF&si=Iioh8BXLOVnosTqz It was fairly in depth and took me a lot of time to get up and running, but I did get it working, well sort of. I could drag and drop my tasks but could not figure out how to get the Patch back to my datasource to work as I was trying to adapt his instruction to my app needs. Like I mentioned earlier, I was probably trying to achieve something far too advanced for my understanding at the time. If I looked at it again, I may stand a better chance of achieving the final goal of saving my drag and drop changes. Is it possible to come up with a solution that achieves a similar result without the need for installing the components that Scott provides? It’s a big ask but, if I’ve learned anything, you have to think a bit out of the box and that’s what this community and its contributors do best.

Ditto to Tony Smith - I've been trying to brainstorm something related to agenda planning with a drag & drop functionality for awhile and have been stuck.

I'd love to hear more about each of you, what your goals are, and what you're currently working on with Power Apps! ...if you have a cool workstation set up, share it! I'll go first...

Hi! My name is Corrine, and I live in Las Vegas, NV. I am not 'technical' (IT) by background - rather I've worked in healthcare administration the majority of my career (risk management, compliance, accreditation). I have a natural passion for process improvement, and the use of technologies to support that. My real driving force? I hate inefficiency (and over-reliance on emails as a 'process'), and using correct tools to support processes is where I love to spend my time. All of my knowledge is home grown. In one of my early positions, I built a Microsoft Access 'database' for my team to track our employee education/training/employee health records. I had the ability in it to automate reports and provide PDF reports/records for employees and regulators, on demand. The project was duplicated for our employee wellness department in time, allowing them to set up customized reports and flags for wellness activities. Currently - I've been diving into Power Apps (and Lists, Forms, Power Automate) - all very self taught. I have developed and just released a tool for my team to help them plan their bi-annual conferences (requiring a lot of internal collaboration).
Our Roadmap
Currently, I'm creating an MVP (minimal viable product) for a site for you that will list out all my content based. ========================= - I could easily index and provide a great search feature to find any video, course, module, etc. that you're looking for! - Read-Only content (for now) - Full listing of YouTube videos - Showing Courses, Modules, Lesson, and, if you (or should have) access, videos - Authorization (account creation) ⬇️⬇️ Once I get this up and running for you guys (by end of day Friday), this is the next priority ⬇️⬇️ Every month, I plan to produce: ========================= - One Workshop (doing one a month rather than each week gives me more time to make the one that we do, be of higher quality) - One Substantial feature to the JumpStart template - One structured/well-planned YouTube video, released publicly - One Live Stream (around 3 hours, probably on a weekend in the month) - 30-50 Small videos (bite-sized, 5-10 min) - I will have a long recording session with Camtasia (my video editor) where I go over 30-50 small topics that would flow back to back making it much easier on myself to crank these out. :) - Video editing will have to be minimal - One virtual video meeting (office hours where anyone may ask any Power Apps related questions) ========================= What are you most excited about seeing? (after voting, comment below on topics you would want covered in the item you voted for). support@superpowerlabs.co 📨📨
