Critique Me Please!
I am wanting to come up with a mug shape that feels unique to my work. I’m adding a pic and would love your honest critique. Lay it on me!

Oooooo, they look like lovely colours!
So Sorry!
Just want to apologize for the audio issues and distractions during our call today. I have very little experience on video calls. Definitely should have stayed home until the call was over!

@Renée Glasgow I am getting FOMO now!
To water test or not? That is the question? 💦
Had an interesting chat with a fellow potter at a market recently about water testing their pieces before selling… and they said they don’t 👀 It got me thinking how different everyone’s processes are, especially when it comes to functionality and finish. I’ve always been curious about what others do behind the scenes—there’s no one “right” way, but it’s such an important part of making process for me. So I’d love to know… Do you water test your pottery before selling, or not? 💬

@Sarah Hallam Draycott fires 1200-1300 so maybe a bit underfired? At college we fire the Draycott to 1260 and I can see/feel the difference In vitrification between my firing and college.

@Sarah Hallam yeah, give it a go! The hotter, the more vitrified! Get your self some fancy scales. I would be interested to hear more because we are kiln/clay/glaze twins!
