AI vs. Good Writing
In connection to AI and writing, I saw this article in the Wall Street Journal. I’m not sure the link will work, but if you’re serious about writing, try to find a way to read it. https://www.wsj.com/opinion/ai-and-the-english-language-274f9801?st=wEBPKo

Here are my thoughts. I would imagine that the genre might determine how effective AI is in helping authors. For me, there is a voice I have developed in writing. Also I think for many authors, their unique style of writing is part of the magic of their books. But for something that is more informational, AI could certainly produce some good ideas and initial drafts.
Book shelves
Does anyone else look at a book shelf and get dejavu from when you read “that” one? I realized today there is absolutely no rhyme or reason to the stacking order of my shelves, but what brings me joy is recalling the moment when I needed the wisdom - now they sit like trophies that I admire.

While I do have digital books, I have a wall bookshelf full of books. One particular section are my favorites, and seeing them brings the memory of the things I have read or studied. Like you described - trophies to be admired.
Mondays with Shane
If you have any questions, Shane answers them on Monday’s at 10:30 am. He looked at my website and gave feedback and recommendations how to improve it. I join every Monday and listen to the questions and I always learn something new.

Hi Rene. It was great meeting you today in the marketing lab!
Life lesson
I just had a friend from high school (i'm almost 70) pass away. I knew Dave in high school, and he helped me on the baseball team, he was there when I needed him. He was Mr. 3 sports and excelled at them all. I also worked with his mom, a cashier at the local grocery store where I had my first real job. She was good and fast and if you could keep up with her, you were then considered accomplished at your task of bag boy! I met Dave later on when we both worked at the same company - I was his boss for a short while, but he was a friend and a colleague and there when we needed him. Then later on we shared spotlight in helping the 50th high school reunion committee get arrangements made, and we pulled off a reunion still being spoke about today. So why do I say all of this now, yes - I miss my friend Dave, but its more than that for he taught me a lesson and one that I have heard echoed here a time or two. That is - Show up, Be genuine and Add value. That is how I will choose to remember my friend Dave, and that is how we should all approach this business. May you all have a great evening!

While it is difficult to lose lifelong friends, the deposits they make into our lives are beyond measure. Thank you for sharing this.
Book Marketing Lab
Today I joined Shane and fellow author Rene in the Book Marketing Lab. This was extremely helpful regarding fine tuning my author website. Shane is great, personable, and conveys his expertise in a very relatable and helpful way. I have homework to do this week and plan on joining the lab again this next Monday.
