Are you ready for 2026?
In past years when I filmed a video looking into the year ahead I said things like 'reviews are still important, audiobooks continue to grow, and build your own audience' and all of that remains true however this is the first time I've looked ahead and gone 'woah - this year is going to be really different than past years!'. Things changed A LOT this year and it's setting 2026 up for some big shifts. Are you ready? If you aren't feeling ready ... let's chat about it in the comments here or on the video!! We want to set you up for success.

Ah, you’re Canadian. That’s why you’re so nice. 😄 A number of my friends, who are professional translators, use AI to make a first/rough draft of Kabbalistic and Hasidic texts. A lot of nuance and background, what Julie calls “the lens”, is missing and that’s what they fill in.
Weekly Discussion: What’s one challenge you’re facing right now in your author journey?
It could be big or small: - Something you’re stuck on - A decision you’re avoiding - A task that feels heavier than it should - Or just a question you keep circling Share it in the comments. You don’t need a perfect explanation—just be real. Chances are, someone else here is dealing with the same thing, and this is a safe place to talk it through, plus some of our admins might be able to help you get through that pesky problem you're having. 🤓

@Carol Ann Desimine I was slowed down because I looked for someone or software that could do layout that had a minimal amount of right-to-left text. Word can do it, but I didn’t want to do learn on my own book, but had no choice when I couldn’t find a professional who was available. Also, I procrastinate. A lot. 😕
BIG Improvements Coming to Our Community!
Hey everyone! I’m Shane, Head of Digital Strategy here at Book Launchers. You’re going to be seeing me around this feed a lot more, so I wanted to properly introduce myself. :) I hail from the great state of Idaho, (yes - the one with the famous potatoes) and I’m an avid hockey fan, dog dad, and have most recently been dubbed a “marketing nerd” by some friendly faces here in this community. So, what are these BIG improvements you say?? A More Organized, Step-by-Step Learning Experience: - If you head over to the Classroom tab, you’ll start to see new courses being added. I’m reorganizing everything so your path through writing, publishing, and promoting your book is simple, clear, and easy to follow. A Major Upgrade to Author Launch Kit: - Our book marketing software just got a massive overhaul. I rebuilt ALK from the ground up based on feedback from hundreds of users, and I’ll continue rolling out new features, improvements, and resources to support every kind of book you’re creating. Weekly Tips, Ideas & Discussions: - The BL team and I will be posting regularly—sharing insights, tools, strategies, and prompts to spark discussions around all things book publishing. We want this feed to become one of the most helpful places you visit each week. Premium Access to Deep-Dive Trainings: - We’ve built up YEARS of incredible trainings, expert interviews, YouTube breakdowns, and super valuable resources. Many of these will be available to all members for free (check out the Author Foundations tab!), and we’ll also be introducing a premium tier with access to more advanced trainings and live calls—all at an affordable monthly rate. I’m thrilled to see this community growing into a real hub for authors who support one another while navigating the publishing journey. My goal is to make sure you have every tool, resource, and roadmap you need—right here, all in one place. If there’s anything you’d love to see added or improved as we keep building this space, drop your ideas in the comments! I’d love to know what topics, tools, or support would help you most.

Did you say you were from East Oregon? 😄 Thanks for making a good place better.
I just wanted to share this because I still find it incredible.
Three months ago, I published my book without high expectations; I only hoped a few people would read it. But life surprised me. Now I'm earning around $2,000 a week from it, and I'm still so thrilled because I remember how hard it was to earn even a few dollars. It's amazing how something you create can suddenly change your life. For those of you who have already launched a project... Have you ever experienced such rapid success?

Nice! Spend it wisely.
Thinking about writing fiction
If I write a fiction book, can I start a podcast where I am the host and the main sceptic?

Why not? Are you Jekyll and Hyde enough to do it?

Edited for over 20 years and wrote a weekly column for almost as long. Book #1 published in ‘06. Time for the others to be born.
