I hadn’t told anyone this, but recently I was feeling discouraged in my business.
I looked at our numbers, our impact, and all the incredible things we’ve done—yet a small voice whispered, “We should be bigger by now.” And here’s the raw truth: I know what we offer is good. I know our clients are getting results. I know our mastermind has renewed over 70% of clients—at $35,000–$50,000 levels—over the last two years. I know we’ve literally helped hundreds of people land five and six-figure contracts - many of which through the Pitch Your Way to Cash® Academy. I know we’ve created industry tools that changed the game for experts. But even knowing all that… I still felt overlooked. This wasn’t a new feeling. Years ago, I had another business we eventually closed to the general public. Back then, I remember the exact same tension: I’ve done a lot, but there’s more in me. And that voice came back. I realized something recently—what I was doing wasn’t about scaling. It was about sustaining. And I didn’t build this company to sustain. I built it to scale. This is our scale year. Now let me be clear—we’ve already matched last year’s revenue this year. That should make me content. We’re on the Inc. 5000 list again. But if you’re a visionary like me, y’all know gratitude and hunger can coexist. Leaders hold themselves to a higher standard than others hold them to. You can be “doing well” to the world and still feel like you’re not yet operating at the level God has called you to. Then—one email changed everything. It was from my friend Russell Brunson. He’s one of the best marketers in the world, and several years ago before we evenr met, his book Expert Secrets changed my life. The email said: “Private Invite Only.” He was hosting a small event. Without reading the whole sales letter (rookie move), I clicked “buy” and paid a $1,000 deposit. I assumed that was the ticket price. Then the next page popped up: $24,000 more. I paused. I went back, skimmed the letter, and realized he was teaching how to run paid five-day event series that could forever change the way we serve.
