Miraval Miracle
I recently posted this poem and would love to see some engagement from the community! I sent it to the Miraval - Hyatt executive team and they said maybe they will publish it. 👏🏽🙏🏽 The amount of courage it takes to share my creative voice with the world is invigorating. 😅 Next week I have another inspirational poem scheduled for Monday - little by little taking steps towards the author journey. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/brittanysunshinerae_inspirationalleadership-miraval-poetry-activity-7469693463324725249-RS3U?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_ios&rcm=ACoAAAY3y7sBiJ37nNCYdgHK49z4ho5z9gXG8FI

I love it! My prayer is for all of us to experience this and come out the other side hopeful and expectant. Second prayer is for these words to be bread crumbs for folks to find their way back when sorrow and pain inevitably shows its face again and seeks to overwhelm…this is beautiful! Thank you for sharing your heart.
KDP Select
I’ve got a kid’s book that should be ready to publish by the end of June and I will also have a coloring book published as an add on. I’m thinking about Select to try to land some reviews. I could see a world where I can hit 100-200 sales friends and family and I’d like to think 1/4 will leave reviews for me. I could be a little too optimistic…how early should I go Select? In my mind I want to move hard copies a couple of weeks before giving everyone easy access to get reviews and interest rolling…hopefully. Look forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts…

@Roger Magalhaes I appreciate it much man! I’m going to do my best to stay out of illustrations that aren’t verbal for the rest of my life other than character profiles! If I do please use my ignorance as a cautionary story in your next book!

Feedback on my ARC
I asked a few people to read my book ARC and the feedback I am getting is very humbling and encouraging. I swear to God, I had no idea my words would create such comments. Just wanted to share them here with my book peers. This is VERY exciting... ----------------------------------------------------------------- "Finished the book this past week and it left me wanting more. God obviously gave you a gift and it’s good to see that you have discovered it. I truly believe god gives us all one gift, the key is to figure out what that gift is. In your case writing and storytelling seams to come easy so enjoy the path god has laid out for you. Best of luck with the book!" "Roger is a model of inspiration and wisdom. Anyone wanting to improve their business and their lives needs to read this book." "What you've done is what most don’t dare to do. You turned the honest, unfiltered version of building a business into a teaching tool. The story about the plumber and the muddy footprints will resonate with every dealer, installer, and workroom owner who's ever lost a client and couldn't figure out why. Not because it's dramatic, but because it's painfully ordinary, and we've all either been that plumber or hired one. Specifically, about your voice: the choice to write the way you actually talk, the rhythm, the humor, the way a Brazilian-Bostonian sees the world, is not a limitation but the whole point. The foreword says it, your introduction says it, and then the book proves it chapter after chapter. Your readers aren't connecting with you despite your voice. They're connecting because of it." "As I read through, it was like reading every one of your newsletters I’ve enjoyed over the years. I found myself nodding in agreement, laughing out loud, sometimes tearing up, and even a few “oh my Gods” thrown in there. And I didn’t realize congratulations were in order for your very prestigious award! It will be interesting to see how it is received in the business world. Quite honestly, the points you drive home should be used in our WHOLE world, not solely the business world. You are a truly remarkable human being and it’s been an honor to be invited to see this work come to fruition."

Hey Roger how much time do I have left? I got 1/3 through it on accident because it was both easy to read and hard to put down…had a lot going on do I have 10 days or so?
How many books have you sold?
Not trying to put anyone on the spot. Just trying to have a realistic expectation when my book launches. You don't need to be precise with your numbers. A range is fine: less than 100, more than 500, over a million....and how long ago have you launched? Lastly, what advise would you give based on your experience to someone about to launch his first book? Thanks so much.

@John Read I love how you structured the books and made it easy for a beginner or novice to get started. Putting a number on all you can see was a super smart way to package it…with all that said it’s obvious how passionate you are about astronomy it jumped out to me in every sample. It’s also obvious that you yearn for others to step beyond our atmosphere and experience creation in a much deeper way. I’m getting a binocular version for myself and a telescope kid version for one of my grands. I can certainly see why you are successful, I’m so glad I checked it out!
Book launch advice
This is a new world for me as it is for some of you. I am planning to launch my children's book in the middle of July. I have been working on social media and it is exhausting! Everyday gets better though. Do you have any advice of certain elements to have in a book launch?

Julie congrats on the book! I’ve got some illustration work still to do but I’m 2/3 or so done on a true story with a few fun fiction tidbits mixed in aimed for 4-9 or so. I will check it out for sure! Sounds like you have a solid foundation for the launch
