Your "WHY" for barbering?
What inspired you to pursue this path, and what continues to drive you forward? Is it the satisfaction of seeing a fresh fade come out perfectly? The confidence boost you give a client when they leave your chair? The excitement of working with new tools, or the joy of building relationships with both regulars and new clients? What’s the BEST feeling about being a barber for you? Feel free to share anything beyond what I've mentioned. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

The creative outlet is one of my WHY’s. I get to help my clients achieve their hairs max potential. Even if they never blow dry their hair or don’t normally wear product, showing them they indeed look red carpet ready, and seeing that look of “oh damn” on their face is so satisfying
Getting 5 ⭐️ reviews
This is something new for me, I’ve never utilized my Google business page as I work inside a well established barbershop. This month I’m committing to getting 5 new reviews. It’s out there now team, y’all are my accountability partners. What ways do you encourage clients to leave you a review? 💬 I wanna know 👇🏽

I’m a yapper. I love to talk story, spill tea with my clients. Easy springboard into convos I use with my regulars, “What’s the good news?” “..or the bad, I’m here for it.” Either way it lets them take the lead for what convo they wanna get into. For new clients, I always ask how they found me and I’ve been using this lead lately, “..so what’s your lore?” And it opens up everything!
Mindset shift 🧠 and growth 🌱
One of the biggest mindset shifts I’ve had recently is: taking action. I’ve been really good at concepts and ideas. I’m a creative 🤷🏽‍♀️ but I recently heard something that summed up my feelings of being stuck, something along the lines of this: “The difference between good and great is decisiveness. Make the decision. While you’re still thinking, another business has made 3 decisions since.” One action I’m committed to this week to reinforce my growth is: place the order for my merch! Ugh why have I been hesitating. I can do that!
Thank You for Joining Our First COFFEE & CUTS Meetup!
I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for participating in our inaugural Zoom meetup this morning. Your presence and willingness to introduce yourselves made the session truly engaging and set a positive tone for our community. I acknowledge that some of us experienced connectivity issues during the meeting. As we continue to refine our virtual gatherings, I appreciate your patience and understanding. Your feedback on these technical aspects is invaluable, and I encourage you to share any suggestions for improvement. I’m excited to announce that COFFEE & CUTS will be a biweekly event. These regular meetups aim to foster continuous learning, networking, and support among us. I look forward to our future sessions and the opportunity to deepen our connections. Thank you once again for being a part of this community. Let’s continue to grow and support each other in our barbering journeys. Much love Justin Llanes
