"we don't need it" obstacle
Hi guys, Just revising my script and wondered if anyone has suggestions for the "we don't need it" objection in regards to websites. For reference my niche is cleaning companies (targeting any with no website and poor online reputation). Current script is: - I couldn’t see a website or Google page or anything like that setup for you guys, is there any reason why you guys don’t have any of that? The idea is to get around the obstacle before it becomes an objection, but when they say "we don't need it, we've already got loads of work just through word of mouth" I get a bit stuck... I'm struggling on what to say without coming off as rude or arrogant, thought about talking about the other benefits e.g being able to charge more, stand out from competitors but it feels like once they say the words "we don't need it" I'm fighting a losing battle. Any and all tips appreciated P.s I'm still very new to this, desperately trying to learn and build my confidence

ChatGPT's response, pretty good I think: "When you encounter the objection, "I don’t need it; we get enough business through word of mouth," here’s how you can navigate it: 1. Acknowledge and Validate Their Point Show understanding to lower their defenses: “That’s fantastic—it sounds like you’ve built a strong reputation locally, and that’s a huge asset for any business.” 2. Highlight the Opportunity, Not a Deficiency Pivot to explain how an online presence complements their existing success: “The great thing about word-of-mouth is that it often leads people to look you up online. When they can’t find you, though, they might move on to someone else. A simple Google page or website could make sure you’re catching every opportunity without needing to chase it.” 3. Use a Thought-Provoking Question Encourage them to think about potential missed opportunities: “Out of curiosity, do you think there might be potential customers who hear about you but decide to go with someone else simply because they can’t find you online?” 4. Offer a Low-Commitment Solution Position your service as an easy enhancement rather than a reinvention: “It wouldn’t need to replace what you’re already doing; it’s more like putting a signpost online so people who’ve already heard about you know exactly where to find you.” By combining validation, opportunity framing, and thought-provoking questions, you can overcome this objection while keeping the conversation positive and engaging." Don't want to sound like a robot, but its certainly better than sounding clueless!

@Steven L. It’s usually “we already get enough bookings”
Help!
Hi guys! I recently become an Outbound SDR and I sell Proofpoint as a email security service. I find it really hard to keep people on the phone and I feel a bit disheartened... any tips on my script or how I can approach the call? Hey am I speaking to (Name), My name is Mia Proofpoint, how are you? That’s good to hear, I understand it’s bit of a random call from my end, but I just wanted to introduce myself maybe channel some dialogue between us I’ve been having a lot of conversations with companies like yourself speaking around issues like integrating an API-based email security, business email compromise, DLP, zero trust identity, visibility and reporting across the cyber space I just wanted to reach out and see if that was relevant to you and your organization for 2025, or if there was anything interesting coming up on your end

Personal take from someone who has no experience or knowledge, just my thoughts in case they help lol... I would start with Hey (name), you doing anything exciting right now? (I guess to sound completely different from other callers and at the same time know if they're free to talk) Them - No... who's this? Sorry, my names Mia, I know this is a bit random on my end, I just wanted to give you a call as I've been speaking with a lot of companies similar to yours and I was just curious, how are you currently managing security challenges like [insert relevant pain point/problem you solve]? I'm also new to this, I'm sure others will have much better advice but is just how I'd tackle it

Getting back to basics
As cold callers a lot of people find it hard to stay consistent. What’s the best principles you can put in place to not only get to the top of your game but stay there?
