Gen V LT in 1967 Chevelle - WIP
Will keep this thread running with pics and progress swapping a Gen V LT1 into a '67 Chevelle. This first post discusses the fundamentals for getting the engine into the car. On the chassis side it has stock SBC frame stands in the factory position. On the engine side I used ICT Billet 551363x Gen V LT to SBC motor mount adapters coupled with Moroso 62500 solid motor mounts in the forward most "1" holes so that the bellhousing lands in the stock location...so that my transmission crossmember and driveshaft can be re-used. There is a minor clash with the mount and the vacuum pump provision (only exists on early gen V blocks: L83, L86, LT1/4/5, won't be an issue on L84, L87, L8T later blocks) that you can either mod the mount or the block, I chose to grind on the block a bit since I won't be using the factory vacuum pump and plugged the vacuum ports with ICT Billet 551298 plugs. You'll also need a suitable swap oil pan. I chose the Holley 302-20, which clears everything by a mile! I exchanged their oil cooler blockoff with an ICT Billet 551357. Next post(s) will talk about about engine prep, trans install, and then header fitment. Check back soon..

If it has an LS or LT Gen V in it, you’re in the right place. Post this first: - Vehicle (year/make/model) & engine/trans: - Swap stage (planning, parts, wiring, first start, driving): - Photo or video (optional but encouraged): Rules: - LS or LT builds only - No spam, no selling. No links unless they help someone fix a problem. - Ask real questions. Give real answers. Help others move their build forward. - Post photos or video when you can. Progress beats perfection. - Respect the builders here. Different budgets. Different goals. Same obsession. Get started by posting your build!

@Jesus Villanueva I had a 4th gen, not much fits under there without some cutting. The 2650 is a good option but it is still taller in the back of the lid
6.2 is back together
Waiting on pushrods to come in but getting it put back in the truck this weekend.

What size carburetor are you running?

@Kegan Leep I am sure he can spray more. I think the limit on the stock bottom ends is 300
Just a trick I picked up from my old man!

Can we spray this engine with all of it before it gets pulled?
Rear disc conversion for Square Body
need some opinions here. I just finished installing new front calipers and bracket lines on the C10 last weekend, but I haven't blead the brake system yet. I'm thinking about converting the rear drums to discs. the process looks pretty straight forward, but there are so many kits out there at some many different price points that I cant decide on one. Also, I'm assuming I need a new proportioning valve for the pressure difference between drums and discs? and If I do need one, should I mount it back down where the factory one is on the core support, or relocate it next to the master cylinder?

Do it! There are some super affordable kits out there but be careful that you don’t have to add c clip eliminators
