Morning chaps….. I was thinking this morning (yeah I do that sometimes 😂) What’s one thing that you didn’t think you were strong enough to recover from mentally?

Morning buddy...I'll start the ball rolling...PTSD from my abroad adventures. I thought it was something that would dominate my life forever. But with time, therapy, medication I managed. It'll never leave me but I am now strong enough to help myself. And the same question to you my friend.
Value
To build something real here, we need each other. Everyone in this group wants to feel heard, supported, and actually able to say what’s going on without being judged. I want to grow The Quiet Comeback into a proper space where people can talk openly… but I can’t do that on my own. I need your help to build it. So let’s start simple: What’s one thing you personally need right now to start your own Quiet Comeback? A mindset shift? A routine? Someone to talk to? A bit of accountability? More energy? More clarity? There’s no right or wrong answer — just honesty. Drop it below. This is how we start building something powerful together.

Without sounding heroic lol, I've chosen a career dedicated to the service of others whether in my professional life or as a Buddhist Chaplin. I've allowed that devotion to lead to neglect of relationships and friendships. Only in the last year or so I'm trying to find that balance and think I'm getting there slowly. What I need is structure and accountability.

@David Sanham I was training to be an architect and the military lured me in to play rugby. From there I was lied to about career opportunities and ended up in HR. As time progressed I realised I was ok at it. That led me to getting qualified in teaching, mediation, negotiation, peacekeeping etc. a couple of visits to countries with unfriendly natives saw me convert to Buddhism and then become a Chaplain. With hindsight everything I did steered me towards caring for others. I've been blessed.
Let’s get the ball rolling
Out of the 5 of us in here right now… what’s something you’ve learned about yourself this year? If someone here said they were struggling, what advice would you give them?

I've learned -no matter how much I despise or belittle myself someone, somewhere holds me an exemplar role model. -That my destructive self harming thoughts were just that. Thoughts not facts What I'd share? Firstly however alone you feel you are never truly alone. Despite what you think, you are loved. Lastly, speak to me. I may not have all or indeed any answers but I'll always listen.
