SOTD: Polo Sport by Ralph Lauren
Polo Sport is an aromaticfougere fragrance. Its a fresh, energetic, sporty scent, perfectly aligned with the brand’s timeless, active-lifestyle identity. It was releaswd back in 1994, created by perfumer Harry Fremont of the firm Firmenich. At the time it moved away from the heavier, more woody & tobacco-rich originals toward something lighter, crisper, better suited for everyday, active wear. 30 something years later it remains one of Ralph Lauren’s most recognizable, enduring fragrances. Sport is built around a bright, structure that evolves smoothly over time. At the opening, it bursts with fresh, zesty top notes of lemon, mint & artemisia, immediately delivering a sharp, cooling citrusy rush that feels clean & energizing. At the heart, aromatic & herbaceous notes take center stage, with juniper berry, geranium, sea notes & sage adding depth, a slight saltiness & a crisp greenness. The base grounds the fragrance with warm elements of musk, amber, oakmoss & sandalwood, which soften the brightness, add a subtle creamy richness, and leave a clean, dry, masculine trail that is neither heavy or overwhelming. Polo Sport has a moderate performance, projection is noticeable for the first 2–3 hours before settling closer to the skin, and it generally lasts 5hrs on skin. It is ideal for spring & summer, especially in warmer weather or humid conditions, as its fresh, light structure feels natural and refreshing rather than cloying. It works perfectly for casual wear, sports, outdoor activities, office days, or everyday use. My Rating 5.5/10 Scent 2 Longevity 1.5 Sillage 1 Y/N 1

First day with the full bottle!
I just recently converted this from sample to full bottle status. I made a decant for myself so that I can take it to work and travel. Since its still a crazy spring hey 40 degrees this morning getting to a high of 60 I thought this would be a nice scent to wear one last time before the heat gets to be too much. Th honey and vanilla sweetness comes through after the dry sown. The tobacco nose comes through very strong on the opening but settles in very nicely. After a couple of hours I find it a little powdery with a woody warmth to it. This is a great full bottle addition for me! Have a great Tuesday!!

Slay the Scent:  Pisa by Lattafa
Pisa by Lattafa that officially joined the house’s collection in early 2024. It's actually part of their prestigious Pride line, and not the niche emerati as the bottle would lead you too believe. Pisa is a Citrus Aromatic fragrance. As always the perfumer behind the scent is often kept under the Lattafa house umbrella, the fragrance has a clean, architectural inspiration, echoing the elegance of its Italian namesake. It begins with a vibrant opening, characterized by a zesty trio of mandarin, lemon, and bergamot. It's more bitter than sweet, I'm not a fan. As the sharp citrus edges begin to soften, the heart transitions into a singular, prominent note of cedarwood. This middle phase provides a dry, aromatic backbone that grounds the zest of the top notes with a sense of masculine strength and structure. Finally, the dry down settles into a warm and creamy foundation of sandalwood and amber. The sandalwood lends a smooth, velvety texture to the skin, while the amber provides a resinous warmth that ensures the fragrance remains sophisticated and inviting long after the initial spray. Pisa, for a citrus-dominant scent, performs ok, you can expect 4hrs on skin, with a moderate projection. It creates a scent bubble that is noticeable to those nearby without becoming overwhelming or cloying. Because of its bright, airy opening and warm woody base, it is exceptionally versatile across the seasons. To be honest if but this just for the bottle, it's a showpiece. Don't like the opening, but the drydown is rather good My Rating 5/10 Scent 1.5 Longevity 1.5 Sillage 1.5 Y/N .5

Intelligent fragrances on sale on Amazon
I recently gave the men’s style brand Intelligent a go when I picked up their fragrance tester set (OK, I kind of gave into the hype from all of TLTG’s glazing). What I found was a nice little line of relatively good quality inspos. I ended up using the gift certificate that came with the set to buy a bottle of Iron (which to my nose is an inspo of ADG) but they had several others that I think were full bottle worthy at that discounted price. Well today, I noticed that in Intelligent sells on Amazon and they are having a 30% off sale on most of their line. For 50 to 60 bucks, I think a bunch of their frags are worth it. For what it’s worth, here are my raw notes on all of their offerings. I have a nose that’s pretty sensitive to certain notes, and I think a few of their frags have a musk that rubs me the wrong way - so take my notes with a grain of salt. - Intelligent Platinum: nice but not quite fbw for me. Lightly juicy sweet fruits, aromatics. Kind of like Polo 67 / Coach EDP - Intelligent Silver: cusp of fbw. Aromatic woody soapy. Some bite/sourness in the mids that takes away a bit from the experience. - Intelligent Iron: full bottle worthy. Woodsy aromatic earthy green, kind of like a more earthy ADG. - Intelligent Neon: cusp of full bottle worthy. Very bright citrus. But something bitter - the musk choice? Open is a bit harsh otherwise a very hearty citrus - Intelligent Carbon: full bottle worthy? Earthy lightly rich warm leathery, very easy to wear. Reminds me of a Moncler. But super weak performance on my skin. - Intelligent Cobalt: meh but interesting. Zingy musky aquatic aromatic. Loud and kind of grating, possibly the musk choice. - Intelligent H2O: full bottle worthy? Yep it’s a sweet smooth aquatic scent, a higher quality take on Invictus Aqua. Faintly fruity. Easy to wear. - Intelligent Hydrogen: meh but interesting. Aromatic tangy musky. Something offputting and animatic - musk? orconox? - Intelligent Argon: cusp of fbw. Lightly sweet elegant aromatic lavender cinnamon and spice. Like a more elegant and refined Spicebomb EDT, but easier to wear. Also a bit like Rehab
