WFH and a Dr appointment early today. I am going to see a Pain Specialist regarding the ever present ach in my back after breaking my spine in 2009. My T12 is crushed by 1/3 bad plain just radiates and lives in my back. I went yesterday so see him, he put some local Anesthetic at the L5/S1 point (this is the most painful spot for me) and it’s was like magic. All the pain from that spot disappeared. I was back there first thing this morning with the pain chart I had to keep and we spoke about the painlessness. He has done the same thing today and also put some cortisone in to see if it last a couple of days. If this all works then it will be looking at burning the never that will cause a block and remove pain for upto 12 months. It will be amazing to not have that back pain there. We assembled as male congregational members to conduct our annual meetings for the church and school in the church sanctuary this evening. As the only male organist, I also led the opening and closing songs. Aside from the minister and elders/deacons, I was the only man in a sport coat, let alone a tie. Since the clergy wears all black suits/ties and white shirts, I definitely wasn't overdressed.
