Fun
I love puzzles. Word puzzles. Number puzzles. Picture puzzles. Hands on and on the phone. The New York Times app has a domino puzzle that I love. Also I like to listen to podcasts. Mostly true crime and current events. And if I’m able to sit still long enough, I love to read - a book, a newspaper, a play, a how to guide on something new, etc. I knit when I have yarn. I sing all the time. I am dabbling in piano currently. Obviously I play and spend time with my kids for fun as well. I don’t have a vehicle or income right now, so gratis is good. What do you for fun?

@Al Voss I used to meet with my friends and our church group and play scrabble! My husband and I had an ongoing game left out on the table so we could make moves between kids and work. I would love to do a crossword in another language. I know a little of a lot of different languages. Lived in Germany when I was little and my dad was stationed in Butzbach at the rock in the early 90s.

Too cool!
Intro:
Hello all, I am Britt from KY. I am delighted to be able to share a space with intellectual individuals such as yourselves. I am brand new to this app so excuse my inability to please the AI Boss. I am a recovered alcoholic. Sober for 2 years on the 25th of this month. Been to the bottom and I’m continuing to climb to the top. I am 37 years old with four kids; 15, 13, 11, and 8. I am a female who likes males (that is gender, right? She, her, hers?) I am a stay at home parent, I hold a bachelor’s degree in history with which I can hold no job. Hobbies include anything free; walking, watching shows, knitting, singing. I’m interested in all the things. What is it? How’s it work? What for? Why? I want to know everything. I can be annoying. But I’m thoroughly annoying. Marital status is complicated; I am in a relationship with my ex husband. Im toxic. Better? ;) I hope you all have a wonderful week! Many Blessings, Britt

@David Zandar I do love history. I made my choices like anyone else, but I welcome any advice or suggestions like you’ve provided here. Thank you! Also, I’m probably the unwokest person my age in my area. I was being passive aggressive with the gender comment because I think that is frivolous to get caught up on the intricacies of identity as they get lost in the grand scheme of things. We are all just human beings with dreams and perspectives.

Which One Are You?
Good morning ladies and gentlemen, As many of us know, and some are finding out on this journey, that you will find yourself in a situation that either people will be looking to you for directions, or instructions, or to make a decisions, based on who they perceive you to be. This is not uncommon when it comes to dressing, caring yourself in a manner that as ladies and gentlemen people look up to. Too many, they think that they are up to the task , which is great to be in the mindset of being that goto person. But as I have said before and quoted this “ with great power comes great responsibility”. Meaning that when you take on that persona of being that goto person, you need to understand and be ready to stand in that role. Some are wandering what is the big deal about that? Here is the deal, there are two type of people Peacekeepers, and Peacemakers. Now to many they are Symantecs, just a play on words that generally mean the same thing. This is further from the truth. They are really different in nature. See You cannot be a Peacekeeper and a leader, but you can be a Peacemaker and a leader. I know, some are saying that is not true, but it is really true. See as a peacekeeper, these are the ones that like to keep the peace and will go with the flow to make everyone happy. They will compromise, to make everyone happy even ft it is wrong. Now a peacemaker knows that what they say or do is not always going to be in agreement with everyone, but it is the best outcome to the situation whether everyone likes it or not. A peacemaker is willing not to be like be everyone as long as the right outcome is produced. While typing this I recalled in the bible, when Jesus says “ blessed are the peacemakers for they are the children of God”. Why did he say this? Because he knew that what he was going to say and do, not everyone was going to agree with it or like it, but he knew that it was the best for everyone whether they liked it or accepted it. As ladies and gentlemen in this world, we are going be leaders or the ones that people will look up to when things get out of hand, or advice is needed, or resolution to a problem; in any case, if you are going to be that goto person, then my question is, are you a Peacemaker or a Peacekeeper ?

I am a peacemaker. Compromise and innovation are key to making peace, especially within a family unit. Making sure voices felt heard and opinions are considered, but ultimately making the decisions needed for the best possible outcome.

I have tried to be one of everything growing up, only to wake up at almost 40 and realize that I can only ever be me.
