Hopeful but not confident
Hi, my name’s Brigid from the South coast of England. I’ve had a lot of different jobs from counsellor to mushroom farmer, but most of my life has been about being a single mum to my 3 daughters, one of whom has special needs. I have ADHD and ASD but was only diagnosed about 18 months ago at age 62. Spent the rest of my life with diagnoses of depression and anxiety and also ME, CFS, fibromyalgia and FND. My body has collapsed under the strain of trying to perform better and not understanding my differences. I’m here to be seen as I really am (which is a hot mess) and to hopefully learn more about myself and how I can function better in the world without so much stress and anxiety. I’ve tried everything, and some stuff has helped in some areas, but the pain and lack of energy in my body tells me that I have a long way to go. I’m worried about the technical side of this challenge, I took hours to figure out how to even post this, and I can’t figure out how to actually join live tomorrow! Hoping to see you all here (or somewhere) tomorrow, and hoping for a better future for us all x

Eager to know what I signed up for. With my ADHD I randomly sign up for things. Then continue on and do not complete. Sound familiar?

Yep, I sign up for stuff all the time but then can’t remember which one is which, or see it in my calendar but can’t see how to join or log on. Hoping to do better with this!
Hope yet zero expectation due to my inability to ‘follow through’!
Excited to be here yet in all honesty, doubtful it will be of any benefit and yet another ‘thing’ joined that gets forgotten about /disregarded & lost amongst a myriad other ‘aids’ /useful pieces of info, despite overwhelming belief it may help in some way!

I Call This A Morning Win..
Okay, it's a very, very, very small win but I will take it...... So I keep seeing everybody posting about getting on a good morning routine.... Routine? I almost had to look up the meaning of this word.. Never, in my life have I ever had a morning routine... Although I have always wanted one... nope nope nope. Currently my morning is jump out of bed, run to the shower, loose a bunch of stuff, flail around trying to shove something in a bag for lunch and running out the door all within about forty five minutes along with praying to anyone who will listen that there are no accidents on my hour drive to work.. (Makeup in the car, at the lights or once I pull into work). I have a toothbrush with me, and when I remember throughout the day, I brush them..... Well, I have not even done the 5 day challenge yet BUT I see that I need to do this for me... This morning, I got up earlier (keep in mind I normally only get 4 to 5 maybe 6 hours asleep a night), did a 5 min gratitude meditation (never really done before, I BRUSHED MY TEETH AT HOME, packed lunch, was out the door in plenty of time.... I am calling this my win for the morning!!!
