Dimensions Retreats
Hello, I mentioned this in a comment and Dave said he'd like to know more so I will attach a link to there web site and than a light summary of my time there.. https://www.dimensionsretreats.com/ I have attended a dimensions retreat twice, once in 2023 and 2026, I am currently attending the 45 week portion which is group therapy. My first visit was empowering, knowing the weight, alot of it wasn't mine to carry, my back pain reduced considerably. There is a machine, the Bio Bed, I discribe is as a hospital type bed with a 40000 dollar stereo under it! Its literally a 40000 dollar system and the only one in Canada. You lay on the bed, you have a eye covering, heating pads where ever you need or want, and headphones for the guided meditation portion, as you're being guided the bed starts to vibrate with sound waves, frequencies. Fuck a duck! My first time omg! I wanted to bail, I lost control of my body, hands locked up, legs started to thrash! Than I focused and I was able to control and sort through my traumas. Amazing! They don't advertise this part as they cannot legally, but the ceremonys you attend you use Cannibus to get into your subconscious. I say its where they, my conscience and subconscious can sort out how I can move forward lol. The food Michelin level cuisine! And they do everything possible to make your meals adjusted properly to your individual needs, like myself I have IBSd thanks mefloquine! Ya im apart of that too. But back to dimensions. So first time I settled my combat, tour and career issues, this current time I went focused on my childhood as well thats another layer that added to the military ptsd and other issues. In-between my dimension Retreats I went and had ayahuasca ceremonies, these are fucking powerful and your ego gets kicked to the curb. With Cannibus along at my second retreat I had that same level of insite. Clarity, etc. They teach you about nutrition, somatic therapy so much. Im happy to answer anything if im able to,and that I haven't mentioned here.

We're Gonna Learn About PEPTIDES 🧪
It's been decided. Our next workshop will be about PEPTIDES 💥 These are the clever little molecules that run the show in our bodies. You know one already - INSULIN INSULIN is a peptide HORMONE. All they are is chains of proteins that do stuff all over the body. The reason why we're going to look at them and learn as a community is because they're exploding in popularity due to the fact that WEGOVY or OZEMPIC are GLP-1 agonists which is a PEPTIDE! Veterans are being prescribed them left right and center. What are the benefits, the costs and the actual science surrounding them? That's what we're gonna cover. THIS WORKSHOP is FREE to everyone in the VGFAF and TEMPERED communities. WHEN: Oct 23rd, noon EST WHERE: Google Meets Let me know in the comments that you want to attend and I'll send you the sign up link. 👇

@Marie-Noel Duhaime its a place in the Algonquin park that hosts a 10 day Retreats for veterans, first responders and civilians, the 10 day course can be 3, 5 or the 10 days depending on the groups. Veterans its 10 days. And well worth it imo. Years or talk therapy could do what 10 days there can.
Sober October Check ins ⬇️
It's Friday. Does anyone doing SOBER OCTOBER have any insights they want to share? Maybe some weight loss wins? Let us know. Not to brag but I'm down 4lbs even after having 2 cheat pints this week NBD 😆

Here's a reminder to just be kind to yourself through this! Ive gone 5.5 years with not a drop of caffeine, lets day the first few weeks we're touch and go hahah. But be kind to yourself, one day, one week, one month all for one life .
Intro:
Well I guess better late than never as I just reread the group instructions lol. My intro to fitness started in high-school, wrestling. In 2001 I joined as Air Defense. My life of gaining weight has begun. In 2016 I retired like many of you I assume broken, both mentally and physically. A domestic op Kananaskis G8 summit and 2008 to 2009, nine month tour in Afghanistan as a UAV operator. Fast forward to 2018 I'm 380ish lbs and in the ER with heartattack symptoms, sever panic attack was all the DR could figure it out to be. Knowing now whatvi believe to be true is my body was screaming for me to wake up and stop killing myself, you know the slow suicide via food and poor life choices! From February 2018 I choose me, myself and I than my kids and now Ex. I decided that day February 13th 2018 I would never be this way again. Fast forward to today im 160 lbs lighter, I started BJJ this past Wednesday and im sore as F! Haha. I've been to Dimensions twice, plant medicine is key to my growth, that includes weed, psilocybin and ayahuasca. I used the education fund and took yin yoga and yoga nidra which both have aided in my overall health. Why I joined, is because like minded folks are hard to find, ones willing to face the man/woman in the mirror and have that discussion. And I have a fit for life mentality and that mindset doesn't bold well with many. Anyways I thinks thats enough for mow
