New Summer Sports Jacket
First airing of my new Brooks Brothers sports jacket for summer. Unlined. 38% Cotton; 33% Linen; 28% wool. Altered to fit by my tailor, Juan Cuello at alterations.com, in Midtown Manhattan. Juan has been doing all my alterations for several years and I appreciate his good eye and steady hand. Photo taken at Lincoln Center during intermission of this weekend's matinee for Coppelia, danced by the New York City Ballet. Lavendar shirt and wool pants from Brooks Brothers; shoes from Crockett & Jones. Coffee cup from the theater snack bar.

I LOVE everything about this outfit! I think the thing I like most is that I’m much younger (in my 30’s) and would wear the exact same thing! I love the shoes being high quality and stylish double monks, trousers, color choices etc! I bet the unlined nature of that jacket makes it nice this time of year too. I hope to see more outfits posts from you when I log on!
Suggestions for CCW
What would you suggest for a stylish man that also wants to carry a concealed firearm? Currently I carry a Sig Sauer P365 Micro in my pocket or a Sig Sauer P365-XF-DH3 in an Obscura CCW Sling Bag. Neither of these options are super stylish as the pocket carry causes a slight bulge in the pocket which I mask with a shacket and the sling bag is okay, but still a sling bag. What would you suggest?

My favorite option that works for all forms of clothing is the philster enigma. I’ve worn it with nice dress clothes as well as athletic shorts on walks with the family. It doesn’t require a belt like a traditional holster. I think it’s the best option. It can easily be hidden under your clothes. I have added a clip to mine so that the grip doesn’t ride below the waist band of my pants. Then after pulling the shirt (even if tucked) up you can get a normal for a solid draw, no different than a belt mounted holster you’re used to. If not carrying on the waist it’d be a galco ankle glove with fuller leg pants and no break (can’t have it expose too much sock when seated and no break) If you look up Craig Douglas he’s into mensware and is a firearms trainer. He has a few options for special occasion dress he’ll talk about.
Fixing shrunken linen
Well… my wife washed AND dried my linen shirts in the dryer (sore subject). They have now shrunk to where they’re too small to button and not have them pull. I’ve researched and seen a few methods of “recovery” by soaking them in shampoo and conditioner and then pulling the fabric after rinsing and letting them hang dry. I plan to try that, but does anyone have any first hand experience? If you’ve done something that works please let me know!

@Steven Hotchkiss yeah, she definitely feels bad because they’re all brand new and I told her specifically not to put them in the dryer and she did anyway because “I put my linen pants in the dryer and they’re fine” I didn’t even have to say anything about it lol. Thanks for the tip on steam. I was worried the heat may make it worse but I may have to also try that!
Made to measure companies
Has anyone used MTailor? Anyone have thoughts as to whether MTailor or Hockerty is better?

Personally I haven’t. I’m looking at making a trip to Enzo custom. I’ve seen some MTM online stuff but I personally will be more comfortable just doing it in person.
Too formal for jeans?
I bought a pair of suede derbies from eBay. I wore them out to dinner with chinos tonight, but tomorrow we're going to the wholesale club and I'm wearing dark-wash Levi's because whenever I wear chinos there they get stained. The derbies are less formal than oxfords but more formal than loafers, even though the suede brings down the formality level. I'm just wondering if they're appropriate to wear with jeans? It's been a while since I've worn lace-ups.

Definitely not. I think you get away with wearing much nicer footwear than the pants. I’ve seen jeans (tailored) worn with oxfords that looked just fine. Go for it!
