Do you wear an ascot?
For years, I resisted experimenting with a "day ascot" because I thought the look might be too flamboyant. Well, I have taken the plunge. Here I am having lunch in Grand Central Station. (And many thanks to a friendly waiter who snapped the photo). As it turns out, I like the look, which is much more subdued than a tie. How about you? Do you wear an ascot?

Why I upgraded to VIP
1) As a General I already have the Style System. As a guy who has been a student of quality Classic Timeless Menswear for 50 years - did I really NEED Antonio’s style system? Probably not. But as a life time learner I deeply appreciate the brilliant way Antonio and his team assembled it and I found many nuggets inside. SO no I didn’t do it to get the style system. But at the VIP price that system alone is worth the upgrade for 90% of the guys here unquestionably. 2) Did I do it for the discounts? As a finance guy and a Dave Ramsey master Coach I know better than buying for bonus points or bonus miles or discounts. (For example Americans spend something like $12,000 - $40,000 per year extra on things by using a credit card versus feeling the pain of cash -or immediate account reduction from a debit card and use the feeble excuse that they are getting points and cash back-$12-40k will buy a hell of a lot of air miles😉) - so no I didn’t do it for the discounts. So Why? I did it for two reasons. One I owe @Antonio O. Centeno Because of this site and you gentlemen I was able to reclaim some long atrophied mojo. I can put into real dollars the gains I have made because of it and it equals a very sizable sum. Two-by paying a year in advance-the VIP is discounted nearly half. Not a lot of places to make 50% per year after tax guaranteed. (Plus for those who haven’t reached the general style system that alone makes that a steal of a deal) That is why I upgraded. Thank you gentlemen for helping to make me a little bit better me. And a special thanks to Antonio and his team. Have a great New Year.

I upgraded on all three sites. Like some other members, I value the idea exchanges with companions who value style. Also, I look upon it as a consultation payment -- and a small one-- for all that I have learned, and will learn, from Antonio.

I voted for the tassels. I just think they look "sharper." The regular loafers look a little clunky, at least in comparison.
Spiritual Blessings Today
First blessing today was during worship a friend that I only found out a couple weeks ago that she’s my cousin , well anyways Holy Spirit gave my cousin a thing in tongues that she started speaking during worship, well 30 seconds later Holy Spirit gave my wife the interpretation in English to share This isn’t something that I can really try and explain, but it’s neat God picked my cousin and my wife to be spiritual vessels during service today Next blessing is the Gentleman whom is a spiritual father figure to me and he fixed the heels, rehydrated the Leather and did some leather patch work on the insides of my Double H cowboy boots A pastor couple very close to the wife and I gave me a gorgeous blue stripped suit today

@Nicholas Logan Aha! My old eyes missed the second one.
The Power of Tailoring
I used to think tailoring was only for suits, but I’ve realized even small adjustments on everyday pieces completely change how they feel and look. A shirt that fits just right or trousers hemmed properly instantly boost confidence. For me, tailoring has been the bridge between experimenting and sticking with classics — it makes the basics sharper and the statement pieces more intentional. Curious to hear: - What’s the first item you had tailored? - Do you tailor mostly formalwear, or casual pieces too?

My first tailoring job was for a sports coat. Like many other responders, I tend to have every visible clothing item tailored. This month I picked up my first custom sports jacket. Loving it!
