Hybrid Racer Program Inquiry
I would like to start the full yearly Hybrid Racer program but I have limited availability of a sled. I have a home gym ( treadmill, Skierg, Rowerg, inspire functional trainer , sandbag, wall ball , Db’s etc ) and I’m also a member of F45. Specific Hyrox programming is only once per week at F45 but they do incorporate Hyrox exercises fairly often. Can the program make modifications specific for my equipment availability? And can I still incorporate F45 classes during the hybrid racer program ? Ottawa in May will be my next Hyrox race. Thanks !

Hello Gustavo, Perfect ! Thanks for the info. I’m racing mid May in Ottawa. Will the program be structured to that exact date ? Or will the annual training program re start 12 weeks out from an event date for specific race prep?

Hello, I am from Winnipeg (Canada) and competed in my first Hyrox competition ( 45-49 men’s open solo) a few weeks ago in Toronto. It was awesome! Competing again in Ottawa in May. I can’t wait to bring my time down with the help of this platform.

Good morning , I’m very excited to be a part of this platform and find it amazing to be able to ask specific questions directly to you and the team. I have followed your advice and protocols for a while now. I will unfortunately miss the live call as I’m in Canada and it will be midnight my time. My question - realistically speaking, in your experience how much time on average, can one bring down their 1000m split times with proper effort and guided training such as this ? I’m hoping to bring my splits down from 5:30 mins/km - 4:45 min/km for my next Hyrox race in May. Thank you very much, Ben

One more question if time permits. Breathing - you speak a lot about the importance of controlling your breath. And I’m assuming this is an important training component of the program. I’m wondering what you would recommend doing during a Hyrox competition if you find yourself bordering hyperventilation. Best to sacrifice time and completely stop to bring down your heart rate and get your breath under control or continue at a slower pace to get yourself back under control? Thank you
Running question
I’m a week behind on the program now Can I ask about last Mondays run please. Just wondering the purpose of a 5 min rest between sets even though the run pace wasn’t very fast. And also keeping the same rest as the run shortened. I mainly ask these questions because I want to learn. But also didn’t feel like I needed that type of rest in that intensity. I also didn’t have the time to rest for 15 mins in this workout as I had to get back to work. Thanks in advance.
