Rain
So how is everyone's garden doing that has been effected by a lot of rain? I am seeing so many different post pop up on my time line of people complaining that a lot of thier gardens have been destroyed. It's just heartbreaking to watch. I hoping everyone is good. I still don't get out in mine much. I'm still in a lot of pain.

@Cossie Conley I'd hate for you to have to search for it, but I'd you happen to see more, then that would be lovely!

Introduction
Hello. Just joined today. Looking forward to all that I will learn. I just moved into a new place at the beginning of the year and haven't the time or energy to grow much of anything yet. So, photo tax of the start of last years garden. I worked SO hard on it and did most of the work all by myself, even the fence. Although I had to move shortly after completing it I can look at this photo and be proud of everything I did.

Welcome!! This is so lovely 🩷 I bet it was really hard to leave that behind. I love that you have the photo to remind yourself of everything you accomplished. I can't wait to see what you achieve at your new space!

@Faye Ella thank you!! 🥰
Here’s what I’m working on…
The 2 beds I have planted (all from seeds) are looking good so far. The first bed has tomatoes & marigolds. The second is an assortment of flowers- zinnia's, snapdragons, hollyhocks. In the grow tent I have 3 trays. 1: cucumbers, peppers, squash, basil, and cucamelons (can’t wait to listen to the recent Q & A replay!). I think I may finally be getting a squash to germinate! If not, I’ll try direct sow. Question: I’ve since heard cucumbers don’t like to be transplanted due to fragile roots. What a bummer since they look so healthy! I’m still going to try. If I fail, I’ll try direct sow. Are there any tips for transplanting them? 2: Zinnias & Dahlias. What I’ve learned is it matters where you get your seeds from! All of the ones that didn’t germinate (except 2) are from the same seller on Etsy. The one row that did germinate is from a different seller on Etsy. 3: Switchgrass. I dunno what I’m doing with that many, but they are cheap & easy to grow from seeds. Maybe I’ll try and sell them when they are more mature? It’s been a huge learning process and I think an overall success. I have Megan to thank for it! Also thanks to our community for all of the great questions, it’s all helped me learn! 🌱💐🌾

Looking great, Danielle! Q: Transplanting cucumbers. A: It is true that they don't like root disturbance. However, I have transplanted them many times with success. So I wouldn't worry too much about it 😊 Just make sure you are very gentle while transplanting and ensure you water well right after. It definitely matters where seeds come from! @Faye Ella is experiencing a similar issue right now as well. Interested to hear what you think about the cucamelon once you try it 😉 And you're so very welcome! 🩷🌱

@Tonya Pugh perfect, thank you! So don't cut them off quite yet since they don't have any roots to support them. If you have a spare pot, fill it with some soil and set it next to your strawberries and then put your runners in that pot and get them to root first before you cut the connection. Also, I have an idea for you. I'm gonna send you a message!
