First $1k client in 4 weeks (starting from scratch on Skool)
3 days ago I closed my first $1,000 client. 4 weeks ago I had no idea what to even sell. Here's what worked. Week 1: Started with a free community I knew I wanted to build something on Skool but had no clear niche. Started a free community with a broad idea, "help people start their online business." Posted daily just to see who would show up. Weeks 2-3: Let the community show me the niche Got on calls with everyone who joined, just listened to what they needed. One group kept showing up: new coaches trying to get their first clients. Made sense because I'd figured that out myself. So I stopped trying to help everyone and focused only on them. Started running people through my process completely free, got them actual results: - One landed their first paid client - Another got clear on their offer - Third one lined up 6 beta clients Week 4: Converted beta to paid Now I had proof it worked. I had testimonials. I knew exactly what people needed. Made the offer to one of my beta clients: $1,000 to scale what we'd already started. They said yes in 15 minutes and 28 seconds because they'd already seen results. The simple strategy: 1. Start free community with broad positioning 2. Post daily, get on calls, listen 3. Notice who keeps showing up - that's your niche 4. Give free results to 3-5 people (build proof) 5. Convert those beta clients to paid based on results Don't guess your niche, let your free community show you. Took me 4 weeks once I stopped overthinking and just started.

@Thomas Richard Makes sense. Coaches and solopreneurs are a strong group to start with. And how has that been going so far?

@Thomas Richard I've found a system that works for me that's been working, now it's more about just "doing more of what works".
Brand new!
Hi I am brand new and I’ve just stumbled across this community and joined in hopes to learn how to use this platform. So I was just wondering… when you start inviting people into your community (which feel awkward because there’s no one in there yet) who should I aim it at. I don’t really just want to invite friends and family as they are probably not interested in my content and not going to be clients. But I am also new to start my business so my social media is low numbers too and they are mostly strangers. Where and how do people even start to build? Should I just keep nurturing my socials in hopes they follow me over to skool? Edit** Ok after looking around -is that what the paid skool traffic challenge is for? Would I need to be a bit further along to benefit from it?

The awkward start is normal. You don’t need friends or family (but it helps to get the momentum starting), just invite the people already paying attention to you, even if it’s a small group. Add a few valuable posts inside so the space feels alive, then keep nurturing your socials and give people a simple reason to come over. You don’t need the paid traffic yet (unless you want to). Consistency will help more at this stage.

Hello!
My name is Maria. I'm excited to learn more about this platform so I can create a community to help busy and/or stressed women sleep better and wake up refreshed.

Welcome, Maria! Helping stressed women sleep better is a powerful niche, there’s real demand for that kind of support. What’s the first small transformation you imagine helping someone achieve inside your community?
