Finally Cracked Dropshipping After Months of Failing
I finally hit real success in dropshipping, and honestly, I’m still shocked I did it. I’m Vergie Page, a single mother of two, working a full 9–5 every day so time is already tight. For months, nothing worked. I tested random products, rebuilt my store, burned money on ads, and questioned everything. What kept me going? Consistency. I kept telling myself: “Even if it’s slow, don’t stop. Just keep improving.” Then I tried a trending product portable mini projectors and things changed. Clean product page, simple UGC-style ads, small test budget… first 0 sales, then one, then a few, now daily consistent orders. Dropshipping works when YOU work. No magic. No shortcuts. Just staying long enough to understand what converts, even while juggling work and kids. Want to know my exact ads, store setup, budget, or how I found the trend? Ask me anything, I’ll share everything.
$400+ with my brand new community with LESS then 100 members
It's not even been a month since I opened this community so this is a huge win even though 400 bucks might not seem like a lot for some people! More important This proves one of my biggest points i always say to people. Is how many followers or on this case "members" you have doesn't determine how much money you can make or the success that you're having! Focus on connection. Adding value. And the rest will align!

🏆100 Members! What's the next step?
I've reached my first milestone with my piano group, reaching 100 members! Facebook ads have been the main driver of sign ups, but I've got a few from Skool itself. My group is free to join at the moment, with a free starter pack, but I also have a low ticket offer in the classroom, and I'm currently uploading my full course. Here are my thoughts on how things are going, but I would love some feedback on what I should focus on next ✅ Engagement My members are on the older side, and many aren't commenting on posts, or posting themselves. Also, hardly anyone is actually checking out the starter pack in the Classroom even though it's clear in my Facebook ads and About page that they can access it for free. I've just created an auto DM asking what song they would love to play on the piano. This should hopefully spark a conversation and make them feel more comfortable in the community. Is this a good strategy? I've also created a detailed onboarding video showing them how to post, comment etc I'm also running weekly coffee chats, which should be a great way to build trust with my members. ✅ Monetization Of the 100 or so people who have joined, I've made 2 sales of my full course, even though it's not hosted on Skool yet, but I think these people knew me from before. No one has bought my low ticket offer. But it could be because they don't know how to use Skool or the Classroom. a) Should I switch to a freemium model once my course is uploaded? I'm a little scared that it may bomb and I don't get any takers. I plan on having a monthly Q&A session for paying members, but if I only get 1-2 buyers, it hardly seems worth it! b) Or should I keep growing my free group for a while first? c) Or finally, should I go for a free trial and run Facebook ads for sales? Decisions, decisions... Any advice would be great!
Yesterday I had a $1,700 day while I was completely offline with my family for Thanksgivin
And I’m sharing that for one reason to show what’s possible even if your beginning feels messy. Because the first 6.5 months of my journey were anything but smooth. I wasn’t clear. I was second-guessing everything. My results weren’t matching my effort. It was discouraging. So if you’re in that season, you’re not alone. But clarity comes. Momentum comes. Confidence comes. And the results start to reflect the work you’ve put in. I’m living proof that things can turn around when you stop walking away from your goals every time it gets uncomfortable. Keep going. Your $1,700 day might be closer than you think. Whats one thing you are prpud of?

2 wins - Sales + Membership Growth
😀First win - I've made 2 sales of my full course in the space of 2 weeks. This is definitely because of Skool. I have an older demographic and I think having a community has helped to build trust. 😀Second win - My membership is growing nicely for my free group, mainly down to Facebook ads. I'm getting sign ups for just under £2.50 which is a good sign my offer is resonating (Sales >> Complete Registration). Let's see if this continues though.... So what do I need to work on? 1) Engagement Although I'm getting more members (up to 80 now), not many are engaging at all. There's only a small handful who are commenting. I think I have a lot of 'lurkers' but also as I have an older demographic, many aren't that tech savvy and they just don't understand Skool or how it works. I think some don't know how to post, let alone attach a file to a post! I did am online coffee chat yesterday and only 2 showed up. So my plan is to create a really detailed onboarding video, which I will link to in my Auto DM's when people sign up. I will show people how to use Skool on a computer and phone. Hopefully this will help. 2) Freemium or Free Trial? Of course part of the reason I'm getting a lack of engagement could be lead quality (even though I'm using the 'Sales' objective in Facebook ads.) I'm starting to wonder whether to go for a free trial instead of a free group once I reach around 100 members. Has anyone got any experience of this, particularly if you are in a hobby niche like me?
