FRAMES ARE LIVE - Everything You Need to Know!
Hey guys, Happy Thursday! We are thrilled to announce that we have FINALLY launched framed prints on PrintShrimp!! Those of you that have been around for a while honestly have probably given up hope, but I promise we have been working so hard behind the scenes to get these live 😆 Frames are available in 3 finishes (Oak, Black and White). All frames arrive ready to hang. Please view the attached pdfs for images and more details. So, what do you need to do? Obviously, frames don't automatically appear for sale on your Etsy shop. Before you start panicking about how much it will be to add frames to all of your listings - don't worry! We have built a couple of tools that allow you to add frames to all of your listings (and yes you can use them for free) These will create your listings so they are set up with variation options for Print Only Black Frame Oak Frame White Frame Attached is a screenshot of what your listings will look like after adding them with the tool Head to your portal and click on the new tab 'Frame Launch' Please please please watch the YouTube videos (and pay attention lol) that go through how to add frames to your shops. It's a simple process but there are a few things you need to do to add frames, and the videos explain it all to you very clearly. The two main things you need to do are: Edit your listings to have one SKU: For us to edit your listings and add frames, we need all of your listings to have one SKU per product. We have built a tool that will identify where your listings differ and clean them up for you. You will need to do this as step 1 if your products have multiple SKUs (i.e. an SKU for each size variation) Actually edit your listings to add framed variations: This is where the magic happens. You need to do a few things such as disable global and domestic pricing, so please watch the videos that details all of this. We have our recommended pricing built into the software that will apply to all of your listings, for frames and print only. This includes some modifications to print only recommended pricing we had before (which means higher profits for you guys compared to before). I have attached a guide with the new recommended pricing below! Here you can get a snapshot of the expected profits from selling frames! This is based on UK prices and accounts for UK VAT when charged and Etsy fees.

Just watched the videos and going to get this done today! Thanks so much Tom & Max, this is so exciting. One question - I've seen that it takes some time for new listings to be indexed. Will this cause our listings to be re-indexed and we'll have to wait 30 days to expect sales again? Fairly new seller here so not sure how that works 😅

@Jack Heddon I've just done this by following the same method PS suggested for the single prints, then going to etsy and: (1) applying a 200% increase in the prices for the sets of 3 (so it's 3X of the original price for single print), then (2) applying a 20% decrease in those prices to reflect the 20% discount 🙂
Mockup Images
Hi guys, I am looking to level up my store. Can anyone give me recommendations for best places to generate mockup images as I think this is really lacking on my page!! Thank you xx

Would suggest searching this Skool group - Tom and others have posted poster mockups which I now use too :)
First Sale
Hey everyone, thanks for all the great discussion on here. I'm about 2 weeks in on our journey since we got the store set up. 50 listings live so far and trying to be consistent with adding more. Focus niche is on kitchen / dining and food-based art. We got our first real (non-test) sale today which is great! I had some questions would love input on: 1. I've struggled finding a good video mockup. We use photopea for the static ones we bought and happy with those. I bought a video mockup for use on Canva and tried a few free ones and they just look rubbish - like the flat poster is pasted on top of the moving video. So we've skipped video mockups. Is there a way to get good ones without using Photoshop? Photopea doesn't support the files. 2. How do you find good topics or ideas? So far I just do things I would like, or get inspiration from what shows as being popular on certain terms. It feels like with keyword tools they still rely on me having the idea of what to search for or check. Is there a way to see what popular terms are within a niche I am missing? Would really love any feedback on the store so far too! https://www.etsy.com/shop/YummyPrintsYorkshire

Should You Pay for the £2 Letter Postage Upgrade?
Hey guys, Have seen a few people unsure about whether to pay the £2 upgrade to send letters as fully tracked. I understand it is a tough choice as it affects margins, but I found a BBC article that is worth a read about the whole situation: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c39wlryn20vo Here is a quick explanation of the difference and how the upgrade works: Royal Mail has, since Christmas, stopped prioritising deliveries of letters sent without the RM48 upgrade. Whilst some do arrive on time or only 1-2 days late, we are seeing a high majority take weeks, or go missing completely. Therefore, to avoid unnecessary delays and complications, we will now be sending letters with full RM48 tracking. This comes at a cost of £2 extra. This is £2 extra per order, and not per item. Letters sent without the upgrade only update upon delivery, and does not show step by step tracking. Upgrading also ensures your customers can track their order each step of the way. We have still left the option to send letters the old way, however we do not recommend this! Royal Mail are not prioritising standard letters at all and this will lead to significant delays. Not selecting this postage option significantly increases the chances of delayed orders, leading to customer complaints, and failure to meet star seller standards. Just a heads up! It may be worth thinking about whether you want to increase your prices for A5, A4, 5x7" and 8x10" to cover this upgrade. I know some of you were unsure about whether to select this upgrade or not, so hopefully this clears some things up 😎

Does the pricing list on the Printshrimp website (https://www.printshrimp.com/pricing) take into account this £2 upgrade, or is that added on when we put in an order?
