Top Hand ✋🏼 Up
If you’re struggling with premature rollover or constantly yanking balls to the pull side, this drill is a game changer. Here’s the drill: Take controlled swings and finish with your top hand palm facing up—toward the pitcher and center field. This finish gives you instant feedback on your hand path and swing direction. • If your palm turns over too early, chances are you’re rolling over and losing your direction. • If your upper body is spinning open, you’ll feel it immediately—because you won’t be able to hold that palm-up finish. It trains you to stay through the middle, decelerate properly, and move with intent. Great way to reinforce a clean, connected finish.

🔓🧠 Unlocking Flow State: The KEY To Peak Performance 🧠🔓
Have you ever had those moments at the plate where everything slows down, you see the ball like a beach ball, and your swing just happens—effortless, powerful, and precise? That’s Flow State—when your body and mind connect seamlessly, leading to intense focus and elite performance. The good news? Flow isn’t just for the naturally gifted—it’s accessible to everyone if you understand how to tap into it. Let’s break it down in the simplest way possible. The Four Keys to Flow State To enter flow, you need to combine four elements in your training and competition: 1️⃣ Something You Care About – You must have passion for what you’re doing. When you care deeply about baseball (or any skill), your brain is naturally more engaged. ✅ Why it matters: Creates fulfillment and long-term motivation. ✅ Example: You love hitting because it gives you purpose—whether it’s chasing a college scholarship or just proving to yourself that you can dominate. 2️⃣ Something You’re Good At – Flow happens when you challenge yourself at the edge of your abilities, not beyond them. You need a strong foundation in your mechanics and approach. ✅ Why it matters: Leads to clarity, confidence, and trust in your skills. ✅ Example: You’ve trained your swing to the point where you no longer think about mechanics during a game—you just react. 3️⃣ Something Challenging – The task must be just outside your comfort zone. Too easy? You get bored. Too hard? You get frustrated. The sweet spot is where growth happens. ✅ Why it matters: Creates persistence and resilience under pressure. ✅ Example: Facing a pitcher throwing 95 mph with movement? Tough, but with the right mindset and training, it becomes an exciting challenge instead of a fear-inducing moment. 4️⃣ Something Long-Term – There must be a bigger picture behind what you’re doing. Chasing long-term goals (scholarship, pro ball, or just personal excellence) keeps you locked in. ✅ Why it matters: Gives you fulfillment and direction, so you don’t lose motivation.

⚡️How to Get Your Core to Drive Your Swing ⚡️
Most hitters struggle with relying too much on their arms instead of letting their core do the work. If you want to generate more power and make better contact, you need to learn how to rotate efficiently from your middle (trunk, pelvis, and anterior oblique slings). Here’s a simple drill to help you feel it: 🔹 Grab a medicine ball (or any object you can hold between your arms and chest). 🔹 Set up in an athletic stance with your weight balanced. 🔹 Focus on turning your core quickly from your back foot to your front foot, keeping your arms quiet. 🔹 Feel how your core delivers instead of just throwing with your hands.

⚡️Bregman Recoils⚡️
Building in some decel patterns to fight bat drag & get the barrel delivered out front. ✅ Deceleration – Gets energy to the barrel in a short window. ✅ Stopping the Hips – Allows the trunk to deliver. ✅ Lower Body Stability – Creates a strong base, preventing excessive rotation. ✅ Barrel Whip – Maximizes the stretch-shortening cycle for a powerful release. How to Perform: 1️⃣ Pull the barrel back across home plate after contact. 2️⃣ Step over home with the back foot as the barrel comes back across home plate. 3️⃣ Feel your hips stop and the energy transfer into the barrel. 4️⃣ Focus on a clean, whippy finish with a strong and braced core. 📌 Key Focus: The back foot crossing isn’t forced—it’s a natural byproduct of controlling your deceleration and sequencing.
