I built something, and I need real community builders to test it.🙏 And where else can I find an amazing community of builders than here? 💕 So I asked @Donna Thornton for permission to share it with whoever feels called to help me🥰 It is a free audit tool with 19 statements; it takes about 5 minutes and is designed to show you exactly where you have been building your community from a borrowed blueprint instead of from yourself. Not from your personality type. Not from a guru's framework. From you, your energy, your natural way of connecting, the way you actually build relationships versus the way you were told to.🥳😍 The results are personalised to your energy type, and they are direct, in a useful way. I am not selling anything. I am not sending you anywhere. I just want real humans who actually build communities to use it and tell me honestly what landed and what did not.🙏 If you want the link, drop AUDIT below, and I will send it straight to you.🙏

🔨 The Build Room is OPEN.
What are you trying to figure out today? Maybe you know what you want to build, but you’re not sure what to do next. Maybe you’ve made a change and want another set of eyes on it. Maybe something isn’t working and you can’t quite figure out why. Or maybe you’ve got one of those half-formed thoughts that keeps following you around. 😂 Bring it in. You don’t need to have the question figured out before you ask it. Tell us what’s going on, what you’ve tried, or where you’re getting stuck. Sometimes the next move gets a whole lot clearer when you stop trying to figure it out by yourself. Todd and I are here. And so is a room full of builders who know what it’s like to be right in the middle of it. What can we help you think through today? Prefer to talk privately? Our DMs are always open. 💙

I am considering a refreshed approach to my business and community for what I sell. Ultimately, my goal is to craft a high-ticket programme/offer, though that is still relatively unknown. But I am also aware that building trust takes time and people want to know what they're in for before spending their hard-earned money on it. So my approach is something like: Free community tier -> Paid community tier (for a small fee of $5-10 for more exclusive stuff) -> Small/medium ticket item (for $100-300 as a lower commitment) -> Big ticket item (for >= $1,000). The unknowns are about the effectiveness of this approach, how to find the right rooms to find the right people, and of course how to test and validate the product/community I will be selling.

@Donna Thornton @Miranda Van Gogh thank you so much for your insights! I'll definitely look into them along the way.
Today I am starting from zero. Publicly!
0 members. 0 hype. 0 paid ads.🤓 Just a 12-week live experiment to answer this one question👇 Can you bring 100 people into a Skool community through relationship building only? I KNOW you can, So I'm going to prove it😎 Most communities do not fail because of bad strategy, they fail because the person building them never got clear on who they actually are, and how to give themselves away to other people in the space that they are creating, 🫣. So they show up inconsistently, and wonder why nobody really cares🥲 You cannot build a community people want to be in until you know how to be super real and authentic in it.🥰 I am not saying this is going to be easy, but I will do my very best to show you how simple it can be done😎 If you want to follow my journey, or if you have any questions, or even if you want to challenge me on anything😃 You know what to do, and where to find me😉 Thank you ALL for always loving and supporting eachother 💗 I truly appriciate you 😘 Now lets freaking go 💥

Mikael, this is a great aspiration, and I send you my best wishes. I'm curious to hear, what are the main avenues you're looking at to build relationships and what do you feel is key to building them without coming across as sales-y?
I build an english community in my second language.
Little confession for the room. I'm a french speaker. I build an english community in my second language. Typing is easy. Talking live in english… still working on that one 😅. Getting more comfortable is one of my goals. Anyone else building in a language that isn't their first? How do you handle it?

Hi Jen, it's very admirable to build a community in your second language. Personally, I'm not building a community in my second language, but I speak four languages and am only very comfortable in English (my first language), tho I really enjoy learning the others. What personally helped me build my comfort level in other languages, as I spent a significant time in Thailand recently and learnt Thai, is to find opportunities to practice it and slowly get comfortable with it, and to overcome my fear of making mistakes - because mistakes are how we get better.
Conversations with People
Curious to hear from people who've built communities here: What do you think is the key to navigating conversations with someone so that they don't just join a community, but actually start feeling connected to the people and the purpose behind it? Is it asking the right questions? Finding common ground? Understanding what they're looking for? Making them feel seen? Something else? I've been thinking about this recently as I've been having more conversations with people across different communities, and I'm curious what you've found works in practice.
