@Joy Xiang In general I like it better. - There are less (or none?) of these pop ups that recommend new music to me. - I like the design better, it is more simple. - There is an indicator for the quality of music for each album, I have heard the streaming quality is higher on Tidal but that is only relevant if you have the equipment for it. - When I transferred, I think it was around 5% of the music that was not on Tidal from Spotify. And I can't say it's something I miss particularly. Maybe an album or two I have missed. - I used to also listen to some podcasts on Spotify, that's usually where people refer to them. I think because that's a way to monetize podcasts. I noticed when I listen to podcasts in my other app Pocketcasts, some of them that had commercials on Spotify will not have them on Pocketcasts (even though I had a paid subscription on Spotify). - I notice it can be a bit more hassle to find the same podcasts outside of Spotify, but 90% of the time it is possible. - For podcasts, I have used Pocketscasts for many years, one annoying thing about it is that it will often try and get me to upgrade to premium. The good thing is that with the free version, it still has all the functions that I need and like. - And, I could flawlessly transfer all my playlists from Spotify (i used the occasion to clean out a bit)

This is the number one 'song' that game me strength last year. I get chills every time I watch it.
Practice makes.. slightly easier than before
Some simple ways of practicing nervous system regulation in disruptive situations. Also every single video of hers is gold, I could hardly choose which one to share. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8froug5/

Recipes that give you comfort
Inspired by Judy's music post, I am longing for new comfy recipes. Anything from soups and stews and dinner recipes to snacks or bakery. Let me know your favorites. This is someting I want to try and bake soon. My brother buys then and they are some of the best cookies I've tried. https://blog.giallozafferano.it/mammaluisa/biscotti-extra-dark/

@Joan A natto! You are so hardcore! I would eat it for breakfast sometimes when I lived in Japan. I have to admit I haven't missed it much 😅
Book recommendations
Let’s start sharing some ideas for people. But give a heads up on it so folx can make an informed decision.

I love the moomins. Tove jansson made the universe of the moomins during second world War, as her personal refuge. A world where all creatures could exist along each other. What I love about the stories is that the characters are very rich, they all have quirks and flaws, but she manage to describe them is such compassion and humor and finds creative ways to make them all be able to exist along each other as they are. They are as much adult books as children's books. Sometimes they can be a bit scary for children, for example the Groke who wanders around at night and makes the ground beneath her turn cold.

I read Octavia butler's earthseed last year. It's heavy on the heart. Sci fi written 30 years ago about the time now, and scarily accurate

Happy birthday Lindsey! Birthday neighbor. I was yesterday :) This is a previous birthday of mine, getting woken up with song and flags and lit candles. And presents.
