Estradiol Cycling
Hi all. My gyn finally admitted I’m in perimenopause base off my labs that were very low despite my lengthy list of symptoms. She kept pushing me to stay on BC (which I had stopped 2 weeks prior to labs) which clearly was not helping nor what I need. She put me on Estradiol patch to wear for 2 weeks mid cycle then remove for my period. I’m still confused how this is actually going to help and still waiting to see what my body does not being on BC. Haven’t started this yet cause I’m still waiting for my period to figure out when this “mid cycle” will be. Any insight or thoughts on this? Also didn’t put me on progesterone (still have my uterus) said if I still have a period I don’t need it🤷🏻‍♀️… Frustrating

@Nathalie Nybratt oh I did…threw the latest research at her, explained all my symptoms…it got spicy for a moment. I definitely advocated for myself. This was the middle ground. She wasn’t going to do anything. Just very frustrating. I have an appointment with an actual peri/menopause specialist but it’s not till May cause she’s good and that far booked out. Just goes to show the extreme lack of education on this subject.
Raynauds
Has anyone experienced or developed Raynauds during peri? When I turned 36 (I’m 45 now) I out of nowhere started having cystic acne, hair loss and Raynauds. Never had an issue with circulation. Now that I’m more educated on peri I’m sure this was my start. The Raynauds is worsening and I’m more cold intolerant. Just curious if anyone has this issue or if there’s any correlation?

Ways to Improve Circadian Regulation 😴
Hi gals!!! The winter months are upon us, and the days are getting shorter and shorter. And this can be a real issue for those of us in perimenopause or menopause that are already struggling with insomnia. 🥹😵‍💫 I wanted to share a few quick tips that you can use to help regulate your circadian rhythm to help combat against seasonal depression and insomnia! 🙌🏻 1️⃣ Reduce blue light exposure before bed! Ideally you would want to limit screen time before bed, but if you are going to be scrolling on your phone, make sure that your phone is turned on night shift mode to reduce blue light exposure. If you are watching TV or using your computer before bed, you can also use blue light blocking glasses. 2️⃣ Light Therapy! ☀️ Sunlight plays an extremely important role in circadian regulation, but this is challenging when it is dark outside when we wake up in the morning. You can use Light Therapy to mimic natural light and help regulate your circadian rhythm for the day. I personally use a Happy Light. You don’t need to stare into the light, just sit within 1-2 feet of the light for 15-20 minutes within an hour of waking. I point mine at me when I’m doing my makeup! 3️⃣ 400mg Magnesium Glycinate + 200mg L-theanine I loveeee this supplement combo for better sleep. And it’s great for women in perimenopause & menopause because it can actually lower cortisol levels (which is what we want at nighttime). This combo can lower cortisol, reduce anxiety, and improve sleep quality! 👏🏻 What are some of your favorite hacks for combating seasonal depression and improving sleep quality? 😴

I’ve also added Safron to my glycinate/L-theanine combo and has helped quite a bit!

GLP1 Microdosing
Hi! Thoughts on glp1 microdosing? I’m curious with the health benefits that are coming out. I’m 10-15lbs over my ideal weight so though it would help with that aspect but more interested in the decreased inflammation, cardio protective properties etc. Naturally fearful of the potential GI side effects😟

@Christina Aldendifer Thank you for sharing! May I ask how you were able to get the Retatrutide? I thought it was still under trial phase?
