✨ If You Could Go Back… What Would You Tell Your Peri-Self? ✨
Hey everyone! 👋 We have a lot of new faces in the group and we’d love to get to know you! Let’s kick things off with a fun question: If you could give your perimenopause/menopause self one piece of advice before it all started, what would it be? Feel free to share your thoughts, experiences, or even just a little emoji to say hi! Can’t wait to hear from you all 😄💛
Searching for answers...
Hi everyone, I'm a 36 year old mom of two high energy toddlers. I had my kids a little later than some trying to get healthy before having them (not successful at that). I had a a partial hysterectomy almost 3 years ago and have been wondering if I might be perimenopause. I've had an endless host of issues over recent years. Some were problems before my hysterectomy and after they only got worse. I've struggled with horrible anxiety, debilitating gut issues (thought to be gallbladder but proved otherwise). I've been told over and over my labs are normal and I feel fat from normal. I've done some things on my own that have eased some of my health struggles but still trying to get to the bottom of it.

Hi Katherine! I hear you, that sounds really frustrating. Even when labs look normal, hormone shifts after a hysterectomy can still affect anxiety, digestion, and weight. You’re definitely not alone in this. Normal labs do not mean your levels are optimized! I am going to send you a message!
Thought I was about to PAUSE...
Hi! I'm about 47 and a half, and the signs and symptoms of perimenopause have reared up quite dramatically in the past year. Last month, I had my first "missed" period (after a lonnnng, drawn-out period in October), where I only experienced spotting and about a two-minute bleed at the beginning of November—and nothing since! Until today. Dangit. I thought I might finally be DONE with periods, lol! I'm also finishing up a six-month school and am SOOO tired. Hanging on by a thread! I'm taking some supplements that have been recommended, but am seriously protein-starved, since my husband has been doing the cooking and only likes chicken (no shade; I don't want to cook, I just need some STEAK). Anxiety has been super-high, too. Anyway, once I graduate, I hope to find a doctor and get a hormone panel done so I can see whether peri will become PAUSE in the nearish future. Until then, it's great to have a community to learn from! 😊

Hi Devon! Welcome and thank you for sharing all of that. First, huge congrats on finishing up your school, that's amazing, especially while navigating perimenopause! It’s great that you’re planning to get a hormone panel when you can, it’ll give you some clarity and help guide your next steps. We do offer Telehealth in the US and can run labs, I will message you 😊 In the meantime, this community is here for you to vent, learn, and get tips from others going through the same stage. You’re not alone in any of this!
The irritation is irritating
Hello ladies, I am fairly new here (joined this week) and I have a question. We have a saying in our family, his (her) irk button is broke. Have you found anything to help with the irritations of life. I feel like my button is always pushed down. Help!

Hi Lisa!! Welcome to the group 💖 You are not alone in feeling this way!! Some people find it helps to take small pauses during the day, focus on deep breathing, gentle movement, or doing one thing at a time so it doesn’t feel overwhelming. Sleep, balanced meals, and connecting with supportive people can also make a big difference.
Hello
Hi everyone. I’m Sarah, 41, mum of 2 daughters. I’m pretty sure I’ve been in perimenopause for about 5 yrs but symptoms have been getting worse for the last 2. Thought I was going mad until seeing posts on Instagram and FB from Kaylyn! My Dr has mentioned HRT but I wasn’t sure it was for me. Thinking of giving it a go now as I’m just so miserable with everything that’s happening to my body!! So happy to be here amongst people who understand 🙂
