For everything we think we know... It seems that we have no idea. How far back does human history go? What things have we accomplished? What things can we? If we keep an open mind... We never know what we'll find. This may seem like an unrelated topic... But it speaks to ancient wisdom. It gives perspective.πŸ™

@Jake Hill Interesting question which I can't answer! May be both possibilities, who knows.

@Jake Hill Yes, and syncretism is key in this, as you said, everything is connected
Let Go, OR Be Dragged... 🫠
Buddhists refer to letting go of "attachment". Christians may say it as, "Let go, let God." Surrender. Release. "Go with the flow." No matter what words you use or which religious/cultural context... It seems that most people agree. Yet, it seems to be the hardest thing a person can do. Or not do. What are your thoughts? πŸ€”

I love the analogy with trees, they just drop their leaves and let go what is not necessary, what no longer serves. Control and attachment are destructive and just ends in an annoying and overwhelming attitude; letting go just feels natural and not forced though many times I personally end up trying to control everything. Sometimes I just let go, others I force myself and get mad As you say, there's no need to fight everything, including yourself, it is harmful in the end.

Just doing the cleaning, at home and inside me! And going for a good walk today with my fluffy friend.

@Molina Francis I usually do an intermittent 16 hour fasting, and sometimes 24 hour fasting a week. My record is 5 day dry fasting and it was not that hard. Anyway mental hunger can be annoying sometimes.😩
The Water Element 🌊
Water is a major part of life. It is part of me and you. How much? There are different estimates/measurements. But one thing we're pretty sure about... We need it. It can teach us a few things too. Be like water my friend.πŸ™

The Math of Life & Tai Chi πŸ’―
I do my best to look at things in a way that makes sense. The math adds up, or it doesn't. The most important nutrient for people is obviously oxygen. We can only go a couple of minutes without that. Next is a combination of sunlight and exercise. IRL, it would be almost impossible not to get both of these on a daily basis. Sunlight is how we get vitamin D and exercise causes other chemical reactions that our body needs. Non-essential and semi-essential nutrients are those that our body makes on its own. After that is hydration and with that would come minerals. We can only go a couple of days without water. Food is last on the list but since many people approach it the opposite way, cleaning up that aspect can be a good starting point. Here the same logic applies. We need fat. Healthy fats like those that come from animals and EVOO. Omega 3s. NOT Polyunsaturated fat. Fats are for the brain, the gut, and for energy. Protein is the literal building blocks (aside from minerals). Strength is a major indicator of longevity. Carbs are at least somewhat optional. Fast fuel. Fermented foods have so many benefits including preventing waste. Sleep is also something that should be pretty much daily. It allows our body to reboot. As you can see from the hierarchy, I look at exercise as pretty much the most important. A lot of times it goes hand in hand with being outside in the sunlight. Both go hand in hand with fresh air and oxygen. And both contribute greatly to sleep quality and vice versa. I approach exercise the same way. What makes the most sense? What is the most useful for function? What also develops necessary skills and mindset? Tai Chi is one of my favorite practices because it emphasizes balance in all aspects. Fall prevention is HUGE as you age. But mental and emotional balance also go a long way. That's why we constantly hear about meditation and mindfulness, even therapy. Mental health. Because Tai Chi is part of a larger philosophy, it contains all of these things.

This world is so artificial, synthetic...And very strange indeed, an upside down most of the time. I don't really know if it's harder or harder things done cause I am stronger, not sure, I keep playing and trying to enjoy the game.
