Medical Sales Insight
What would you do differently if you were trying to break into medical sales today? Asking for those that are currently in the industry. Thank you for your time and responses.

Not sure if you experience this but I know for me personally, i spent so much time over thinking my responses while I was net working. Just send the message 😅 also follow up if you think of the person to maintain the connection! I struggled with that as well. If you have in person net working events in your area, also take advantage of that! Get comfortable being uncomfortable and surrounding yourself with people already in the field:)
Behavioral Question: Physician who wants to use a device off-label
This is my answer: My responsibility is to protect both the patient and the company. I always lead with respect for the physician’s clinical judgment, and I acknowledge that they have a deeper understanding of their patient’s specific case. That said, if the proposed use is off-label, I make it clear that I cannot support or be present for the procedure in the OR/Lab. I explain the potential implications for patient safety, liability, and future outcomes. I also offer to connect them with other physicians who may have faced similar situations, so they can have a peer-to-peer discussion. My goal is to stay collaborative and supportive—while always staying compliant.

this happens frequently where I work and that sounds like a perfect way to handle it! I love utilizing peer to peers for not only compliance reasons but for the practices we work with to network! So many relationships can be built through them and it’s great to be a liaison in that (and stay in our scope haha) disclaimer though, our device is not in an OR setting so there’s not as much potential adverse risks for patients
First interview advice
Hello everyone! I have scheduled my first interview for an Associate Medical Sales Representative position with Stryker. As this is my first interview for a medical sales rep role, I would appreciate any advice or insights regarding the interview process. I have already conducted substantial research on the company and the interviewer, but any personal experiences or tips would be incredibly helpful. I hope you are all having a great day, and I look forward to hearing from you! 🙂

I got my foot in the door with Neuronetics through a referral this week! My first call is coming up this Wednesday! Can't wait.
Happy Monday!
Hey Everyone! I’d like to share two phrases I heard Friday from reps within the field that I thought were really helpful and insightful. 1) “The more chances you take, the more times you get lucky.” 2) “People want to see you run towards something, not just running away from something else.” I think sometimes we get nervous stepping outside our comfort zones or not knowing what to do at times -so we err on the side of caution without realizing. Don’t compare yourself to others, your time will come 😊 (writing this for myself too!) Encouraging everyone to do something outside your comfort zone this week!

I love those quotes! A couple more quotes that keeps me in check regularly is "if you don't try, you'll never know" or "If you don't ask the answer will always be no"
