When I last posted 2-3 weeks ago I was about to take the Network+ exam. I did try to take it twice from my home computer but ran into technical difficulties. So I ended up going to a testing center to take it which I highly recommend. It took a while to get over there for other life reasons. No need to dwell on that though. You just have to press on. Like those multiple choice questions....if you don't know the answer just move on to the next one! So, a little disappointed I didn't get it done when I said I would but thrilled to have got it done today! It has been a great experience that got me out of my rut of grief and got my mind going again. Onward! oh and for those planning to test....if you can't take it at your best time of the day (which is the middle of the night for me), consider taking it between 1-3pm which is the time when the small intestine has the most energy. The small intestine separates the pure from the impure, so it will help you choose the best multiple choice answer. Just a little something from my 5 element acupuncture background.

It’s November! 🍁🦃 As we approach the holiday season, we get time off of work and school to focus on friends and family, and to reflect on everything we’re grateful for. And guess what? So is everybody else who you want to give you a job. Here’s what this means: You have about three weeks of applying for jobs to reasonably expect that you might get a call back. But what if you’re a month out from being ready to apply for jobs? Save yourself the headache. Don’t cram applications in December (unless you have a specific purpose). Not every season is a season of production. You have to sow before you can reap. Now is the season of sowing. Get in. Get started. Study hard. Eat too much turkey. Laugh a lot with family. And prepare to be an A1 candidate by the New Year. All seasons have their purpose. Don’t wish you were in a different one. Make the most of the one you have, so you can be ready for when that season comes. Cheers, Evan

2 weeks ago I started studying for the Network+ exam. Before I started I took a baseline practice test which had me at 54% but very little confidence. I had no clue what most of the acronyms I was presented with were. My goal was to get to 85% with confidence. A few days ago, I tested at 83%. Close!! The last couple of days I have been a little under the weather so not sure I have progressed much. But still I think there is a good chance I will pass. There was only one question I felt I was completely guessing on and I am recognizing most of the acronyms. I need to learn to read the questions better, but hopefully getting some sleep will help with that. Time to calm my mind.
