Type Mismatch Issue due to NextJs15 instead of 14.
@Dmitry Avramenko Thanks for your help! Here is the syntax that is cause issues, and the error I'm running into. Hey, yes! I posted this here right before you sent the link to the git repo. I've made those updates and am now on to dealing with other errors! Thank you so much Dmitry!
NextJs 14 vs 15
Hello, I saw a notice in the course saying that we should use nextJs 14 instead of 15. Can anyone explain why? I just installed nextJs and it assumed I wanted the most recent version. I'm happy to work through the course with version 15, but if it's going to cause me a ton of issues, I'd rather take the time now to go back to 14.

Nvm, it was quite easy to downgrade.

@Dmitry Avramenko awesome. I’m building a separate application at the same time as building the one from the course, and the separate app is on 15, so I’m making my like difficult by doing both haha
Weekly Course Coaching Call Rescheduled While Traveling 11/17/2024
Hey everyone! Quick update on this week’s course coaching call. Unfortunately, I need to reschedule the call. I’m currently in Thailand, and the co-working spaces I planned to use closed earlier than expected. As much as I’d love to stick to the schedule, the walls here are paper-thin, and I want to respect everyone staying nearby. Here’s the plan: - The course coaching call is postponed to early December (Dec. 1st or 2nd, exact date TBA). - You’ll still get all six promised coaching calls! Plus, I’ll make up for this by adding extra content when I’m back, including those bonus modules we’ve talked about. Also, keep an eye out later today for a special drop—a 3-hour YouTube tutorial on building a full-stack AI application! If you want a crash course or a refresher on what we’ve been learning, you’re going to love it. I’ll send more details on the new call schedule soon. Thanks for your patience and understanding. Can’t wait to catch up with you all soon! 😊 Cheers, Brandon Hancock 🧑‍💻🥂

Thanks for the heads up. Can I post some questions I’ve run into? I’d love to get your thoughts on them. Should I post them on this thread?
Difference between Postgres Db Options in Vercel
In the tutorial, while setting up the Postgres DB in Vercel, there was an option that looked like this... However, when I went to the same page, the second screenshot is what I saw. Likely due to me being on free tier. Given the similarity in screen 1 - Postgres by Neon, and screen 2, Neon - Serverless Postgres, I just went with Neon. However this does look different than what's in the tutorial. Just curious if anyone else ran into this issue?

I'm working through trying to get it to work with the Neon postgres + vercel integration + github integration.

update, it worked very similarly to how it shows in the tutorial.

Hello everyone, I’ve been tinkering for most of this year on an off, trying to make an app that ties together many ways to use AI to make tabletop RPG’s fun and accessible. I’ve decided to step away from my stuffy corporate job for awhile and really dive into AI and web development. I’d like to finish a functional mvp of the app I started and possibly build several more.
