What it actually means to live somatically...
Today, Steven and I dove deep into the essence of being. Living somatically means recognizing the connection between our body, mind, and heart. So many of us get caught in the rat race of "who we should become", forgetting that the journey is really about "who we already are being". We are born with unique expressions, yet the world often pressures us to fit into molds that don’t reflect our true selves. Our being is always striving for balance and growth. Our body strives for balance, our heart yearns for belonging, and our mind is always pushing to become. When we focus solely on becoming, we miss the beauty of just being. This week, take a moment to reconnect with your essence. Are you allowing yourself to simply be? What’s your experience with this? What really landed with you during this episode? Drop it in the chat and let us know. 💬 If you missed the live click the video below to tune in.

@Wanda Webb My understanding from what Steven was sharing was that when we are fully connected to our truth when know when we need to speak it and when we need to keep it to ourselves. At times, our truth isn't ready to be heard or accepted by others. It is during those times when we have to simply bide our time until we know the moment is right to share. Maintaining a state of constant regulation, or continually doing things to be regulated, absolutely is a way to protect ourselves from the deeper truths and feelings that actually want to emerge. True healing and nervous system regulation doesn't look like a nervous system that is calm all the time, but is fluid and know when to turn on, off or come back to neutral. Thanks for continuing the conversation here in the comments. 🙏🏻

@Lisa Titolo Sounds like you felt the same way at the end of the episode as I did. That conversation was pure gold! “The things passed down to you might not be your fault, but they are your responsibility,” was also my big takeaway. Emphasizes that we get to decide what we carry and how we feel, if we choose to.
