What Are You Really Worrying About? (And What If You're Wrong?)
Hey Rise & Shiners! Can we chat for a hot min? Entrepreneurship comes with this sneaky undercurrent of anxiety we rarely talk about — the one that shows up when: - the leads slow down - your launch feels like a risk - or you’re spiraling because your messy middle doesn’t look like her polished Chapter 20. Yeah. That one. On yesterday’s call, we had a moment that hit hard: 🧠 Fear isn’t the problem. It’s just misdirected imagination. Because if you can picture everything going wrong - 👀 the flop 💸 the loss 🤯 the embarrassment then you already have the skillset to imagine it going right. Same brain. Same imagination. Totally different direction. So instead of asking, “What if this fails?” Try: “What if this is working out better than I even realize right now?” 🪞Where’s Your Brain Spiraling Lately? Let’s name it, not shame it: 💸 Money → “Will this pay off? Am I wasting money again?” ⏰ Time → “How the hell am I supposed to do all this?” 😬 Failure → “What if I launch and no one buys?” 👀 Judgment → “What if I pivot and look like I don’t know what I’m doing?” You’re not the only one — and talking about it out loud helps more than you think. 🔄 Flip It Before It Runs You Fear’s not a red light — it’s a signal. It’s saying, “Hey… this matters.” So instead of letting it run the show, try asking better questions: - What’s this actually about? - Is this fear rooted in truth, or just an old story I keep retelling? - What belief would serve me better right now? 🛠️ Try This Week (Pick One — don’t overachieve) 🫁 Box Breathing – Inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4. Use before a call or before hitting publish. 🪜 Fear Ladder – Write your worst-case fear, then list 3 outcomes that are way more likely and way more helpful. 🎙️ Audio Journal – Talk through your fear like you’re coaching a friend. Then listen back with compassion. 📚 Evidence Hunt – Go find receipts. That time you pivoted and it paid off. That surprise yes. That tiny win that led to something big.
