My apologies on the connection issues! I appreciate all the time, tips, and wisdom! Great questions from the group and even better answers from the host and his guest! Thank you everyone! 🙏
Focus for the week (Nutrition)
Eat healthy this week. If you already eat healthy then try fasting. If eating healthy is difficult then try one meal a day as a healthy meal. If that is too hard then try every other day one healthy meal. Just like jiujitsu, we can vary the resistance and stress of a task. Consistency beats intensity.

@Chang Hwang how long do you typically fast for each day? What are your typical fasting / feeding hours?
End of year check-in
As the year comes to a close, what’s the #1 thing you improved most in your jiu-jitsu this year? For me, it’s definitely my sense of weight disturbution and understand how to use “disconnection” to my advantage. Please share yours 😁

Weight distribution from everywhere
Focus for the week (mount escape)
Find yourself mounted. Don’t make it obvious that you want to work from the mount. Just let your guard down a little. Then explore that position without any great need to get out. But don’t lay there and be passive either. Feel your way around and try to move in many different ways and analyze the problems that stop you. Be curious and scientific, try lots of stuff, don’t use strength or speed, stay relaxed. Do this with someone who isn’t a meathead at first. But ultimately do it on the meathead too. When the time comes that you need more challenge.

Pedro Sauer asked me "what if every time someone mounted you or passed your guard all they wanted was to get up off of you?" + "don't escape just take away his controls and put in your own" this has led to many BIG improvements in my game. Henry Akins is another one that has heavily encouraged this type of training for me. Very small adjustments that totally change the game. I am forever interested in learning more ways to "take away controls/ connections etc and put in my own" especially from bad positions
