I’ve been thinking about gratitude today. Building a community can sometimes feel like something we’re doing on our own. Our community. Our decisions. Our ideas. Our worries about whether any of it is actually working. 😅 But when I stop and think about it, none of us really builds alone. There are people who ask a question that makes us think differently. People who share something they’ve learned. People who encourage us when we need it. People who celebrate a little win with us. And people who simply keep showing up. ❤️ I’m especially grateful today for the way people show up for one another here. I see questions answered, ideas shared, encouragement offered, and people taking the time to really listen to each other. Those things matter. And it has me thinking about all the people, in all the different corners of our lives, who become part of what we’re building. A friend. A member. A mentor. A spouse. Someone in another community. Maybe even someone who has no idea they’ve influenced us at all. Who are you feeling especially grateful for in your building journey today? A free community where he’s going to work toward his first 100 members by doing what @Mikael Van gogh does best... Being human, building real relationships, making connections, and giving value without expecting something in return. What I especially love? He’s building it where people can see the BUILD. What will he try? What gets people to lean in? What doesn’t? What will he learn along the way? Somehow, this little corner of Skoolology has revealed that among us we have... 🦄 Sparkly unicorns and unicorn onesies. 🐯 A Tigger pajama holder. 🚐 A VW van. 🔮 Magical books, tarot cards, and some VERY interesting reading material. 😂 🎳 A kid-sized bowling alley in Great Aunt Alice’s attic. 🥤 A fascination with strange new soda flavors. 📺 Strong opinions about EVEN-numbered TV volume. 🍽️ Equally strong opinions about how to load a dishwasher. 😂 🎶 Songs we’d grab the microphone for...and songs we absolutely would NOT. 📖 A grandmother’s recipe book that we wish had existed. ☎️ And a phone we wish could call someone we miss. ❤️ And that’s barely scratching the surface. We came here because we’re building communities. But somewhere between all the building, we’ve learned... who needs three minutes before anyone asks where their trousers are... who considers half a tank dangerously close to empty... who loves books, travel, coffee, pets, music, Disney, and a whole collection of wonderfully random things. 😂 I love that we’re getting to know the people behind the communities. ❤️ So let’s keep adding to our very strange Skoolology collection... I've caught myself doing something lately. I'll notice something and think... Huh. That's interesting. And then I'll keep right on going. 😂 A few days later, there it is again. Maybe it's something someone says. A reaction I have. A question that keeps coming back. Something that feels easier than it used to. Or something I keep avoiding for reasons I haven't quite figured out.🤔 And eventually I think... Okay. Maybe I should pay attention to this. 😂 I've always been someone who wants to understand things. Give me enough pieces, and I'm going to try to put the puzzle together. But I'm realizing there's something to be said for not figuring it out quite so quickly. Just noticing. Getting curious. Letting something sit there for a while without deciding what it means or what I'm supposed to do about it. So that's where my head is this morning. What's been catching your attention lately? It doesn't have to be about your community. It could be your business, something about yourself, or just life doing what life does. ❤️ And you don't have to know what it means. Maybe we can just ponder... “Hmmm. I wonder why I keep noticing that?” ❤️🐼🎋

We see many of you bringing questions here while they’re still messy and half-figured-out. And it got us wondering about what makes something feel like a “Skoolology question” in the first place. When you’re stuck or trying to figure something out in your community or business... What makes you think, “I’m bringing this to Skoolology”? And just as importantly... What might make you decide this isn't something you'd bring here? We’re not looking for the nice answer. 😂❤️ We’re trying to see something we may be too close to see ourselves.
