The only skill that matters
Funny… I moved into my new home yesterday. This morning, as I was unpacking my office to get ready for the work day, I stumbled upon an old box of books from many years ago. I used to be a very avid reader, and with this new home I figured what the hell… I want to pick up my reading habit and shift into the identity of a reader again. So I open one of my many boxes of books to see what I had inside. The very first book? The only skill that matters by Jonathan Levi. A book about learning to become a “super learner”. Speed reading. Memory enhancements. Learning how to learn. Funny how the universe works like that sometimes. I don’t think there’s a single book in my entire collection that makes more sense for me to read first than this one.

I love reading books, but I also just love being surrounded by books. Something about knowing that I have all that knowledge at my fingertips brings joy. I want to get back into more reading. Setting the intention now for 15" of reading before bed every night and getting my 11 yr old to read with me. 🤩
🔄 Getting Back Into Rhythm (Without the Reset Fantasy)
I haven’t posted in here for a bit — not because I quit, but because life and focus don’t always run on a clean schedule. One thing ADHD has taught me is this: You don’t need a big reset to get back on track. You need a next clear action. Momentum isn’t rebuilt by motivation or guilt. It’s rebuilt by doing something small, intentional, and real — right where you are. No catching up. No dramatic restart. Just re-engaging the system. 👉 When you fall out of rhythm, what helps you get moving again without beating yourself up?

I liked this. It is so easy to get out of sync. One little thing throws off your schedule. I feel like just taking back one little item. It could be a desk reset, putting your clothes back in the drawer, something tiny to make you feel back to yourself and being productive. Last night, I cleaned off my desk, put items away and then this morning, I felt "healthier" already.

Day 3 - Dusting for Direction
Today was spent cleaning. I realised that the office was an absolute state, and was affecting my productivity and my executive function. 2 hours later, things were in their place, sides were dusted, and all hoovered, so now I can function properly, like the executive I am. 🔥✨

I just did a little 2 minute declutter last night when I turned stuff off. It helped me start the morning in a better spot!
We got a badass in the house...
Did you know we have a Grammy-Nominated, 3x Platinum Songwriter in this group?! Shout out to @pineappleCITI Works! Just got off a clarity call with her and WOW, what a cool human! Just goes to show you how small a world we live in! You never know who you might meet on Skool. One thing she mentioned was getting overwhelmed by things like dishes and cleaning the house. Can you relate? I know I can. My advice to her was to hire and schedule a regular cleaner. Hiring a cleaner was one of the most impactful things I ever spent money on as an entrepreneur. It's pretty affordable; especially if you make at least $25/hr or more in your business. Just do the math; if a cleaner costs $25/hr and you make a higher hourly rate for the work you do, you're actually earning money by hiring a cleaner versus doing it yourself. Not to mention, my cleaner does a much better job than I do anyway. Have you hired a cleaner or done a similar type of delegation? LMK in the comments!
