Day 4✨ A Gentle Vision Board Reset (No Hustle, No Pressure)
I’m hosting a Gentle Vision Board Reset inside my community this month, and it’s intentionally designed for people who are arriving slowly to the year. This isn’t about big goals or forcing clarity. It’s about starting with how you want the year to feel — and letting structure come later, if and when it’s needed. What it is: A soft, reflective Vision Board Reset focused on gentle feelings vs structure. No pressure to “know your word” or map the whole year. Who it’s for: Women navigating midlife who feel a bit tired, a bit overwhelmed, or quietly resistant to the usual “new year energy.” When it happens: Starting Jan 5 (and designed so you can join even if you arrive a little late). Why join: If you want a kinder, calmer way to orient yourself for the year ahead — without another thing to keep up with — this is a lovely place to begin. If that sounds like something you’d enjoy, you’re very welcome to join us inside The Shine Lounge: 👉 The Shine Lounge

No, all good. I am running it on Pinterest so you don't need all the magazines or the cut paste and glue. And it's very much about noticing a softer January. We did slow living aesthetic for instance for one of our keyword searches in week 1. So it's a digital board you can refer back to and save too when ever you like

Would this be valuable to you?
I've been thinking a lot over the past several months about the idea of a CLASSIFIEDS Directory. I've always kind of called the Classroom our directory, but several people have mentioned that it would be nice to have things organized according to topic/industry/niche, which prompted me to ask you all about organizing the community that way (we/I decided against it for several reasons). If I were to do it, it would be one "course" in the classroom with a page for each industry. It would be available to annual premium member and VIP members (when I release VIP) with VIP members having top billing, and it would be updated monthly. Here are my concerns: 1. It would be a lot of work to create and update, and I'm not sure if the ROI would be there in terms of increased visibility. 2. There are a lot of other sites (ProveWorth and others) that are doing a great job at letting people list their communities as well as many Skool groups that now are sharing directories. Do we really need another directory??? 3. Having a course in the classroom that people can easily scroll through is already a pretty prominent visibility opportunity and it rotates weekly, so everyone has a chance to be on the first page. 4. It's a lot of work. Did I mention it's a lot of work??? 5. The only benefit above the ads already posted in the classroom would be that it could be sorted by niche. 6. Skool is going to do a lot of improving this year to searchability and discoverability, so there may no longer be a need for this in the near future. I'm going to post a picture below of what an entry would look like. I'm super curious about your thoughts! Please share below and don't hold back. All opinions are welcome! 😊

I doubt I would remember it was even there---and "it's a lot of work for you" Skool is a community and I think if people are looking for collabs or help with something they could just ask in the community. I'm sure they will find someone to help. Also as you mention so many of these directory communities popping up now. My 2cents; Don't dilute your time Love you @Shannon Boyer

What changes month to month inside my Skool (and why I design it this way)
One thing I do differently inside The Shine Lounge is that nothing is locked in months ahead. Each 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐩 changes monthly, and quite often I don’t finalise it until I’m already halfway through the current month. I pay close attention to the energy, conversations, and quiet signals I’m seeing from members, then curate what feels genuinely supportive 𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚗𝚘𝚠. For example, December leaned heavily into movement and release. It included a spinal release yoga session, a 10-minute low-impact, no-equipment workout (designed to be repeated as often as it felt good), five short “letting go” themed audio affirmations released weekly, plus a longer 15-minute visual storytelling meditation. January, by contrast, needed something much softer. So January’s Shine Drop introduced 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙒𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨, a simple dice-roll ritual I created to help members choose one gentle word a day. No big resolutions. Just one soft word at a time. That’s been surprisingly popular. Alongside that, we added Ease Series mobile wallpapers with quiet reminders, and a guided body and mind relaxation to support a slower start to the year. What I’ve learned is that members don’t want more content. They want content that meets them where they are. All of this lives inside Premium for $9/𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝, and that price point is very intentional. It keeps the barrier low and the pressure even lower. If you’re a Skool owner experimenting with how much structure vs responsiveness your community really needs, this approach might resonate. Happy to answer questions about how I curate month to month.

@Lisa Drennon I started in September as well ! Yes I think it definitely resonates, depending on your group and community. And as @Shannon Boyer said above it's the difference between growing a membership offering Vs a community that is course based.

@Shannon Boyer Amazing, I'll keep an ear out (LOL--see what I did there) 👂🏼
Drop-In Social Tomorrow! Are you coming?
On today's Skool news, Sam and Andrew talked about the importance of unstructured coffee chats in your community. Honest Confession: I'm great at casual conversation in-person but I absolutely suck at it online! Chock it up to too many years teaching, I don't know, but it's not my forte! Luckily, we have a once a month drop-in social where Premium members of the CLASSIFIEDS are free to jump in at any point during a 5-hour window. Meet with whomever is there, talk about whatever you want. None of it is recorded - I don't even fully know what goes on there! There's a bit of a game of chance component as well. You might show up and ten people are there, or you might show up and no one is there. Last month, I think the biggest the group got at any one point in time was 7... The best thing to do is to comment in the community that you are there, share a photo if there are a few people, tag some people, and invite others to join you. Apparently it's a lot of fun. I don't usually show up, although I have been known to pop in briefly. Why? See "honest confession" above. So mark it on your calendar, tag someone you want to connect with, and drop in tomorrow! If you've been before, let us know what it's like below. If you're planning on attending, let us know below. The time in in the calendar!

#FeatureStory: The Why Behind Why & What I DO
As a passionate advocate for self-love, mindfulness, and personal growth, I've dedicated my journey to helping women shine their light and live their best lives. With a background in Personal training, Yoga and Journal Therapy I spent the first decades of my life in the corporate world (Business Development, Procurement and Project Management). But my passion really always lived in a space where I was able to create a safe and supportive space for like-minded individuals to connect, learn, and grow throw fitness. As a 2 time cancer survivor I am living a life that has had it's up and downs and moments of depression and self-doubt. Where loving myself felt like a foreign currency, but I was determined to battle through the mental and physical demons to get myself back to feeling alive, present and living as my best version. I want to help women see that despite how they may be feeling right in this moment, this season whether it be overwhelm, menopause, empty-nesting, late life separate or divorce, there is a way to find your spark and inner joy again. Come join me inside The Shine Lounge. Where 10mins of gentle resets, journaling or just a conversation in the community can change your whole day 🌸
