Mail Call !
Well a few weeks ago I asked for suggestions for a new “blue” fragrance to add to my collection for this summer, and boy did you guys come through with a ton of great ideas that I have written down for later. But for this summer I decided to go with two new ones ( well one new and a discontinued (?) flanker of a fragrance I love ). Shot out to @Jacob Pierce for turning me on to Tom Ford Oud Minérale, a fantastic salty.aquatic marine fragrance that just hit me in my sweet spot. While my other choice was for non other than Michael Malul and Ocean Noir Dive , same DNA as Ocean Noir but the florals and sweetness have been brought down somewhat and replaced with lavender, elemi and patchouli. It’s still Ocean Noir, brighter … Thanks again Brothers, I’m gonna hit y’all up again in the fall and see what we can come up with !!

So happy you loved it brother! Can’t wait to hear about all the compliments you get wearing it.
Suggestion …
In the mood for a new Blue Fragrance this summer and looking for some suggestions. No Acqua Di Gio / Sauvage / PDM / Mancera / Bvlgari … have stuff from those houses and looking for something that’s not gonna cost an arm and a leg ….

@Robb Linnemann-Silverberg happy I could be able to help. This was a recent fragrance that just came across my life and it blew me away. Very unique aquatic smelling fragrance and you can’t go wrong with the master of seduction tom ford adding a light hint of oud. Makes me think of sexy driftwood.

@Nick Clemente no scent is blind buy safe you should always test before purchasing. But yes it can be a complex fragrance
My two week fragrance experiment
With the help of Chat GPT I performed a two week fragrance overspray experiment. I have always been one who wanted to be discovered vs announced so I decided to use chat to help me push my comfort zone. Everyday I or chat would choose a fragrance and chat would give me a number of sprays based on the fragrance and what my day looked like (i.e a day full of meetings or a chill day with the family). It was interesting for me and I definitely learned that are fragrances in my collection that were amazing over sprayed, there were fragrances where I went nose blind to really fast and there were fragrances where I wanted to jump in the shower and scrub off. My compliment magnet fragrances received many more compliments and my wife and kids let me know when they thought that I sprayed too much. All in all I’ll over spray the fragrances that worked and go back to being discovered for the rest. I hope all the brothers are having a great day.

Would love to know what your average amount of sprays were before and after this experiment. I’m in a similar boat and I don’t ever know if I’m wearing too little or too much.

@Ed Prince I’m in the same range. Usually do about 6 on my summer category and 4 on my winter Category. Usually 1 or 2 on each arm then two on the neck. Going to bump each category up a spray or two and see how that goes. I feel like I’m projecting well for what I can smell and don’t want to overdue it but would like to be noticed.
Frag Battle: Dior Sauvage Elixir vs Bleu de Chanel EDP (Pick One & Why)
Two heavyweights. Two very different styles. Option 1: Dior Sauvage Elixir - Bold, rich, spicy, loud, attention-grabbing. Option 2: Bleu de Chanel Parfum - Smooth, versatile, refined, and easy to wear in almost any situation. So let’s debate it: If you could only keep one, which are you choosing? Sauvage Elixir or Bleu de Chanel EDP? Make your case: Which one wins on scent, versatility, performance, compliment factor, and overall value? Bonus: Which fragrance would you recommend more often to the average guy?

BDC EDP better fits my lifestyle and my area but both are great fragrances and should be in every collection.

Rocking one of the best designer scents and dna’s out there. Had to take my car to get some work done today and thought I would bless the waiting room with this incredible scent. Oversprayed the heck out of it so I am radiating like a signal beacon, even after 2 hours. This is such a universal scent that fits in any situation. Such an upbeat scent that brightens a room. It lasts all day and may not bring the compliments all the time, but definitely find people hanging out close to me for longer. Also one of my wife’s favorites on me so that’s a plus too. Stay smelling great my brothers.

@Mike Penzenik have smelled it on a few guys. Wouldn’t say it’s a lot but it’s one of those smells that catches you off guard every time. You smell it and think it smells good. Then when the person tells you what they’re wearing you almost can’t believe what it is because of how different it can smell on you.

@Mike Penzenik the scent that comes most forward when I tend to notice it is the orange blossom. For some reason I can pick up that unique scent well.
