Vendor Events
Today I was a vendor at an expo and I offered free chair massage and had one of the participants actually thank me for having something that was complementary. I hadn’t thought about it before but what a bummer to pay $55 to get into an event (that did have free breakout sessions) and then have every vendor asking you to buy something or trying to sell you something. Obviously my intention was to get clients but the energy behind it was different and the attendees felt that.
Team Huddles
Are you doing a team huddle before shifts start? Heck even if you’re a solo therapist, are you doing something for yourself daily to inspire and motivate yourself?

Such a great post! I only have one employee right now, he works two days a week. We currently meet once a week for 30 minutes to do training and answer any questions he has. We have a notebook in the office where he can notate anything different that came up during the day. Then he calls me at the end of each shift to let me know how it went with each client and we review his conversations around rebooking.
My client is Moving
My client is moving out of state. And I’ve worked on her for so long that I just don’t think that me massaging her one last time and then hugging and saying bye is enough. So I got her this as a farewell gift. I’ll get her new address and probably send her a handwritten letter in the mail as well. Do you have any other ideas for farewell gifts?
My client is Moving
That’s a great idea! One of the front desk girls is moving to China. She doesn’t work for me but I got her a journal and pens and wrote a note that she should use the journal to document her new adventure.
Retention using memberships
We need to plug the holes in our bucket (Business) that keep leaking clients out. Membership and packages is a great way to keep clients coming back for longer so they can get better results and you can have more predictable business income.

@Michael Ortiz thank you, appreciate it 🙏. It’s going well thanks, I have an employee who’s been with me for about 5 weeks. I have a minimum of 2 clients booked for him every shift. Training is a little slower but we’re working through it.

@Michael Ortiz he’s able to get people to rebook which is great! Now we’re working on the nuances of frequency recommendations and selling memberships and packages.
When’s a time you’ve had great Hospitality?
Can you think of a time where you experienced great hospitality or great service at a business, at somebody’s house, or anywhere? Where was it. And how did that make you feel on receiving end of that?

Last year I stayed at a hotel in Santa Monica for one night. It was really busy because a lot of people who had been displaced by the LA fires were staying there. A couple of hours after I checked in I went to get dinner and the bell boy remembered and greeted me by name in the lobby 🤯. As a customer I felt seen and remembered.
