Best all round formal shoe?
I got a mates wedding next year. I had a wedding recently for another mate and the shoe started falling apart and then completely disintegrated on the way home. Thankfully it held up until the end. I heard that rubber soled dress shoes need to be worn regularly. I guess that's what happens when there aren't enough weddings between the previous time I worn them and the recent wedding. I'm specifically looking for a shoe that would work in formal situations but one that I can use at less formal situations too so I can get more use out of it. I like the idea of RM Williams Chelsea boots but they are ridiculously expensive and quality has apparently dropped in recent years. But if they last 5 - 10 years of moderate wear, I could justify the purchase as I'd be saving in the long run of having to replace cheaper shoes. Any recommendations? I'm in Australia so Aussie recommendations preferred (shipping from USA is crazy). Many thanks

A very true and wise quote! Always appreciated!
OOTD - Thursday 4 December
Had an appointment with the Pack Dr today, looks like we are doing some Heat Therapy (Burning/Cauterizing) of a couple of nerve fibers to have the constant pain removed for 8-18 months depending how quickly the nerves repair. Another hot day so I have grabbed another summer weight unlined suit, though this one has no Break so the need for regular length socks is a must. On my way home, stopped at a park to see how the background would work. Also played in Canva to see if I could create some stylized interest. Todays outfit consist of; M.J. OTAA Win
Well, here is another collaboration I have just secured. Apparently, my Instagram posts are hitting the right spot. OTAA are now going to boost some of the posts that I tag them in or use a product of theirs in. Lucky, I got quite a few OTAA things, and they gave me $300 Store Credit to get more. If you use the code DAPPERCHAD10, you will get 10% off your order, and apparently I get 20% of whatever is spent using the code. I have had my Insta account for quite a while now; however, it was only in the past 12 months that I started getting approached to do Colabs. First was Sparrods & Co with some free Chelsea Boots. About 3 weeks ago, I was approached by Yiume to collaborate on their products, with the following code for 10% off. (CS10) Now, OTAA has a Colab on their entire catalogue. I mean, I have been wearing their ties, Lapel Pins, Socks and Tie Bars for a few years now. With this code, though, it's next level, everyone gets 10% off, and somehow the deal is I get 20% of whatever people spend. (DAPPERCHAD10)

O. Look. A. Navy. Blazer🎉
Cold day grabbed my new grey flannel pants and a silk/linen v neck. Used my CT red tattersall as a foundation, Robert Talbot blazer tie so naturally grabbed my HSM navy blazer. Pendleton socks and 1982 Alden Shell cordovans, red and blue pocket square and Wenger field watch.

Although it has been over 3 decades since I went to school to be a designer, my foundational knowledge and skills are hopefully timeless.
